River Road Campground is about as close to perfect for a quiet, laidback camping experience as they come! The hosts are super nice, super helpful, and quick to respond to anything that comes up. The facilities are basic - which is good - if you're looking for a country retreat. If you're looking for a party or a bunch of resort-like stuff, go to KOA. It had everything we needed, including close proximity to a super nice little town, Luverne.

The campsite was clean, easy to find, and park our camper. Great to have the water and electric hook ups for no additional charge! Peaceful area with park nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

Very close to the highway if you're passing through. Far enough away for solace. Toilets are pit toilets but clean. Quiet, mature trees, nice property.

Campground is in a very pleasant area, with easy access. Sites have generous length, but some are a bit closer together than I prefer. We had about 20 feet to the RVs next to us.
There is no campground host or office. Only 20-25 sites. The owner lives up the road a short piece, and drives through a few times a day..
Dump station has good access and is on the road just before entrance to campground.
For our site, our Progressive Industries box showed an open ground on 30 amp circuit, so I used a 50 to 30 amp dogbone from 50 amp circuit. Notified owner and he said he would have it checked.
Enjoyed the stay and would return.
