Just what we needed
This was exactly what we needed for our stay near the twin cities. Conveniently located 20-30 minutes from the heart of the cities, beautifully maintained and quiet, with showers and a bathroom! There were some pretty intense thunderstorms randomly in the middle of the second night of our stay so it was incredible to be able to seek some shelter to wait out the storm in the office of their home. Also it was a great price and a really pretty spot.
Thanks so so much for your hospitality and we hope to see you again when coming through Minnesota.
Elise is very sociable and interested in getting to know you as a person. She had a warm demeanor about her. My dog and I loved staying there.
The campground itself was also spacious and had good amentities.
Great stay for a night!
Just what we needed while passing through Minnesota. We ended up staying in our car due to rain but we had it fixed up for that anyways. Elise and Ian were super friendly and even offered us their pop up camper to use. Original camping spot was beautiful and we wished the weather would’ve cooperated but it all worked out fine!
Great stay! Not far from the cities and site feels secluded with no view of the house but still close enough for only a short walk to the toilet and shower. Lovely kind hosts that make you feel welcome and safe. Would highley recommend.
We had a wonderful time! The campsite was beautiful and very secluded. Lots of trees but also lots of sun, we brought an umbrella which was nice to have during the really hot time of the day. Elise and Ian were very attentive, but we also felt like we had a private site. It was perfect for us with a dog who doesn’t like other dogs. We had access to a bathroom, firewood, and a hose, there is also a nice large fire pit on the site. The walk from the car is really not far but twists just the right way so that you can’t see the house or the cars from the site. It’s a perfect spot to go not too far from the city, but you also feel like you are getting the camping experience, without all the people at the state parks. I highly recommend staying here for a nice relaxing stay in nature.
The hippies never had it so good!
Loved it! Hosts are fun and just fabulous! Spot is completely private and easy to reach! Wildlife is abundant (turkeys and zillions of songbirds in the early morning, deer scampering by , ) low light pollution so stars were gorgeous at night! Take a walk in the morning. The neighbors have gorgeous horses!
