I had such a great time at Leah’s campsite. The land is a beautiful forest with the Mississippi running right next to the campsites. Site #1 is just off of the road and is easiest to get to. Site #2 is a little bit further into the woods, SUV needed to get to. Site #3 is very secluded, deep in the woods, and only accessible by a smaller 4x4. I stayed at site 3 and loved it. I did manage to get my RAV4 back to the campsite, but it was SUPER SKETCHY and I did not do it a second time. 4x4 Jeep can work, would not recommend with any other SUV. Plenty of space to park your car near site #2 and the walk to site #3 is about 3-5min.
The campsites are big, there is plenty of firewood, and easy flat space to set up a tent.
Leah was 10/10 with communication. I am staying here every time I come up to ride Cuyuna!

Gorgeous stretch of the Mississippi with views of great fall colors and tall white pines. Can be a little muddy. Highway noise can get loud. Prepare for long treck in at #3
An amazing spot close to town. Free firewood was great too! It is close to the road, so you can hear traffic, but that didn’t bother us! Thanks for an amazing stay!
Leah and Josh are fantastic! Very sweet and accommodating. The campsites are lovely and well maintained. We stayed at campsite #2. It was tucked away right next to the river and covered by a beautiful Maple leaf canopy. Great place to camp!
This is a great site on the Mississippi River with a nice gravel "beach" area, fire pit, picnic table, and plenty of room for tents and hammocks. Kayaks available, which we used to explore and fish. Hosts are warm, friendly, and helpful.
Close to town (across the street from a bar and bait shop). While this is convenient, it also means road noise. We also heard some ruckus coming from the bar at closing time.
I would definitely consider staying again!
Absolutely wonderful location! Great views along the river, we enjoyed rock hunting and fishing! This is the ideal family friendly weekend getaway for a peaceful, relaxing time!
Nice and private, yet an easy car camping experience, in a green forest on the Mississippi. We don’t have a car with high clearance so skipped the forest road in and just parked at the trailhead and walked in with our packs and gear. Took less than 10 minutes and we had a lovely overnight after a day of hard biking in Crosby.
