Good but not great experience
Nice size site with great views of St. Louis River. Canoe access was limited within park. There is a good boat landing on Floodwood river that merges with St. Louis near by.
Restroom buiding did not have toilet paper or soap in the dispenser.

The hosts were GREAT! They knew it was our first time out, so had kindling ready for us so we could easily get a fire going on our first night. It was close to a neighborhood, but it still felt like we were out in the woods. It was quiet at night and the stars were beautiful! We will definitely return! Thank you for a wonderful adventure!
First time camping at Floodwood Campground. The sites are large and
well kept. We were pleasantly surprised how nice the campground is. The host was friendly and helpful. We have shared pictures and recommendations to friends already. We are
planning another stay soon.
Great little getaway.
Was a great place on the outskirts of the town, on the St Louis river. Very peaceful at night. Host was always available. Washrooms were clean. A great little getaway. Electric on most of the sites, no drinking water, but can fill up portable water bottles from washrooms if needed. No sewage dump either if that was a deciding factor.
Fantastic hidden gem!
Porsha and Josh were hospitable and friendly hosts. The campsite is unique in that it is off of a residential neighborhood, but next to the river. We set our chairs up facing the river and felt like we were in the boundary waters.
The campsite is quaint, I believe there are 11 sites in which to camp. Very small and quiet.
The restrooms were fine and I highly recommend getting the lock on the women's restroom fixed on the inside of the door. I did use the door block to have some semblance of privacy. My husband stood guard outside for me too, when I showered.
We had very awesome campsite neighbors. They brought me smoked trout back while visiting the North Shore. This is yet another reason I love the camping culture. People are just so great!
Hipcamp has a real gem in the Floodwood Campgrounds and we are looking forward to finding more great places like this in the future.
Thank you so much Porsha and Josh for making our stay so welcoming!
Nice setting & friendly hosts.
Hosts were great. Wash rooms could use a little maintenance. Camp is in town but doesn’t feel that way. Sites are not super private but acceptable. I’d rate it a solid 7 out of 10. Thanks for a pleasant stay. It was a bummer we had some issues at home and had to cut our stay short.
