We had a great time at the Tipi! Bruce was great. He gave us a tour of the grounds when we arrived and even let us borrow some fishing poles for our stay. The lake is a short drive and lots of wineries in the area to choose from. Keep in mind the tipi is open at the top so plan accordingly for bugs and rain. There is a rain catcher that does a good job but if you experience heavy rains you would need to sleep in the trailer. All in all we enjoyed our experience and would definitely return!

My family and I had fun staying in the camper and tipi! Everything is comfortable, and the host supplies almost everything you need, making the stay very easy.

Bruce, his land, and his set up was great. Very rustic and so unique-- our family of four LOVED the tipi... And the open air, outdoor shower was a HIT for the kids, too!

One thought to consider-- moms, Mr. Bruce has VERY neat, old, and fragile decor, especially in the tipi. Prepare to hide/put away, as I did not,and had I hid things away, it would have made the beginning of the trip a little easier😁

Thanks, Bruce!

The environment is not bad, but not suitable for summer. We made an appointment for two nights, but there were too many mosquitoes, which caused us to stay for only one day and then leave. Because we can't sleep well. We used several anti-mosquito liquids to repel mosquitoes, but we still got bitten badly. It is more suitable for traveling in spring and autumn. The use time after fully charged is also too short, which is another problem.

Thanks for your review. You rented our set up on a “camping website” and we encourage you to visit our personal website which covers what you need to bring and what we provide. Included in that list for what you need to provide for yourselves is bug repellent which you you probably neglected to pack. You are staying in a tipi and camper in the middle of a field, not a hotel room. Sorry the mosquitoes were a problem but we can only provide so much to insure a comfortable stay given you are in a “camping environment” and you should be more experienced in staying in the great outdoors and the inconveniences that come along with experiencing that. I think our tip and camper were not suited for you and your 4 year old daughter so you should consider less camping related vacation experiences in your future travels.

Beautiful and peaceful place and Tepee was clean and fun. Bruce was nice and showed me how to run everything that goes with the Tepee and the trailer.

My husband and 2 children (4.5/2.5) recently stayed 2 nights in the tipi/camper. We had the best time and truly enjoyed our time, in this unique and special place. Bruce is an amazing and gracious host, they have truly thought of everything. It has all the privacy of back wood, rustic camping feel with a few upgrades! It was peaceful and quiet, we really felt like we were able to disconnect and relax. We also loved the location it was nice and quiet but a nice easy drive into St. Joseph. We would highly recommend if anyone is looking to get away and just disconnect and enjoy being outside. We will definitely be returning!

Great unique setup!! We traveled with multiple families and this setup was perfect to have family time and a bit of our own space. Great location and quick access to local beaches (Hagar) and close enough to bigger places (Warren dunes, st Joseph’s, etc). Perfect if traveling with kids! Would definitely recommend.
