Our experience overall was pleasant, and Cherisse was equally so. There were a few things that I hadn't expected, but it was generally a good visit.
I wasn't informed prior to the visit that their would be a "barn sale" with members of the public driving up to shop. This was certainly something that should have been disclosed ahead of time, and I felt was a detractor of our entire stay. Admittedly, it wasn't super busy, but I had expected the property to be private outside of the host and the other campers.
There isn't really a "barrier" between the hosts home and the campsites, outside of the pond. We had full visibility of the host's home the entire time, which dampened the experience of camping, as we had lights shining from her home (softly, but still).
The Port a Potty didn't seem to be able to handle the 8 full campsites, as it ran out of paper on our first night. I'm glad we brought our own, as we would have otherwise been in trouble.
If you just need a place to sleep, while you explore the Dunes / surrounding areas, it serves it's purpose. If you planned on spending a larger portion of your time at your "campsite," this might not be the place you are looking for.
The host was very kind and accommodating, and overall we had a good stay. This site has a lovely and more private area in the back, with trees on both sides, and a field to the rear. Unfortunately there was no fire pit in this part of the property and parts of it are not level enough for camping. The area near the pond in the photos is not private at all. It is in close proximity to both a barn (which was open for a yard/barn sale starting at 9am), the owner’s house, and the road. The fire pit was a large burn pile with debris and dirt, more suited to large bon fires. Overall many nice things here, but would have appreciated more privacy or maybe photos that showed how most of the camping area is situated between the buildings. We didn’t realize that there would be other campers on the property as well.
The greatest camp site we ever being too. very privet, plenty of space so you can have tent away from other campers, quiet. very close to Weko beach and Warren Dunes . ducks are so cute and duck's eggs so delicious.
Cherisse was very welcoming & accommodated us with a last minute booking. The pond and the property were absolutely beautiful and the ducks we're entertaining 🥰 Our camping experience was peaceful & picturesque. We had a wonderful time.
Quiet, convenient and pretty
I really enjoyed camping at Cherisse’s land! The land was well maintained and full of wildlife sounds! We especially liked that she had duck eggs available for sale, they’re delicious. It is 5 minutes to Warren Dunes, the Red Arrow Highway and Both Sawyer and Bridgman witch are just great little towns.
