Come and enjoy our newly built cabin by the pond with beautiful sites, great fishing and wonderful times. A peaceful, private and lovely setting. You are welcome to stroll through the farm and visit the animals. The cabin sleeps 2 in the brand new full size comfy bed, there is room for two children in the loft. There is also room for more tents around the cabin. No parties allowed. Enjoy a campfire, star gazing, and the beauty of the glistening pond. It’s truly a peaceful setting. We are minutes to the famous Dragon Trail, hiking, biking trails, kayaking, swimming. Also, only 10 minutes to town and grocery stores.(Meijers and Walmart). We are located in the Manastee National Forest and just an hour to Ludington and Lake Michigan, 1 1/2 hrs to Traverse city, Sleeping Bear Dunes. It’s a beautiful area that’s close to many activities. We have a brand new outhouse with a composting toilet, just steps away from the cabin. It’s very nice and clean. Fire pit with cooking ring, with beautiful Adirondack chairs around it, along with marshmallows/hotdog skewers. We also have a cute little coffee/tea bar with a percolator coffee pot and butane stove. We have a solar powered battery that will be fully charged for your use, it will run the table lamp and charge your phones. We haven’t tried it for other things, like a fan, but would work I’m assuming. We also have battery operated Chandler and candles. Truly a sweet and romantic space with special touches. Most people have cell service back at the cabin, depending on your provider. There is also firewood around the property. We provide water for drinking and washing your hands. You can bring your solar shower bag if you’d like, if you are staying longer and would like a hot shower, we can accommodate you up at the farmhouse in our downstairs bathroom.

We had the most wonderful time here! The cabin is so adorable and quaint. David and Teresa were excellent hosts. It was so neat to get up close to all of the animals. And the property was stunning. Rustic camping meets hobby farms meets cozy scenic cabin. When you arrive, the hosts greet you while you load all of your gear in their UTV for a tour of the property and a lift out to the cabin site. The cabin is new, clean and well furnished with bed, linens, table, and cute decorations. There is no electricity or water, but they do have a power pack for charging your phones and a bedside lamp. There is also a small gas camp stove and kettle for your morning coffee or tea. There is an outhouse a few steps away with a Porta Potti and a jug of water to wash your hands. Clean, no bugs, no smells! On the other side of the cabin is a firepit with a grate, Adirondack chairs, and a picnic table. My favorite spot was the rocking chairs on the front porch! It was such a private, peaceful, unplugged retreat. The property offers many small ponds, a stream, tons of acreage to explore, and you are welcomed to interact with the animals at your leisure. I recommend taking Teresa up on her farm fresh breakfast ($10pp). The site is only 10 minutes from town. We hope to return again!

David and Theresa’s land is so magical and they were so lovely! It was a dream to spend time by the pond, with all the sweet animals, a lovely farm breakfast made by Theresa (she loves to feed folks and she’s amazing at it!)… it was all so incredible. The pine grove, the open fields, the many pond and streams, hearing and seeing the cranes! There was so much wildlife and it was so quiet. Also close to town should you need anything, but I never wanted to leave. I spent almost a week in silent retreat on their land, and I cannot recommend it enough. Also, the cabin was so cozy and lovely! So many special touches to make your rustic camp experience so much more delightful (lanterns to head out to the very nice port o pot and was station), a grill over the fire pit, a little gas stove for coffee should you need it (but I highly recommend making a fire and coffee outside overlooking the pond in the morning), a very comfy bed, tea and mugs… everything was just so special. Stay here if you gave the chance. Theresa and David are so kind, and again, they’ve created such a magical space on their land. (Oh, and their dogs and barn cats l, in addition to the cows, donkeys, and chickens, were SO sweet!)
