Our little slice of heaven is nestled back off the country road- with over 30 acres, we have a couple of old horse pastures and barns, a beautiful grassy area that has a large fire pit and a natural pond. Some wood is provided for your initial fire; more can be purchased from us for $5 per bundle. We have electricity, a country swing, a dock if you would like to fish- we also have nice grassy walking paths and a wooded area as well. Our land is very peaceful and safe. While we do only consider our space one site, it is large enough for groups as big as 30 ppl, with plenty of room to set up tents in your desired areas. Campers and trailers are welcome, with limited space; we also restrict where they can be parked. We are very close to several rivers in the area, so bring your kayaks, or inner tubes and float down the rivers for a peaceful afternoon. We’re not too far from Lake Michigan (easy day trip), Kalamazoo or Lansing, Several breweries in the area- (Battle Creek, Kalamazoo and Marshall) as well as a casino (Marshall). We are in a very nice happy medium to a lot of Michigan favorite spots. Come and enjoy the quiet country- and get some amazing star lite skies. Ask about our “glamping” set up, for an additional fee- or even an outdoor movie night. We can accommodate large groups, or family gatherings. Large groups (over 5) must add on a portable toilet to their stay. Well trained- recall ready pets are welcomed.

Natural features you'll find at Sun Creek Farm in Michigan.
The main camping area is a large gassy open field. There are also walking paths that go through fields.
River, stream, or creek
We have a creek that runs though the property- there are many rivers nearby that are great to paddle or float down.

An oasis!! no concrete jungle here.
This campsite has seclusion with room to move. It has a perfect spot for setting up your tents and even gives you lots of area to spread out. We had 5 tents out there and could've easily fit 10 more. Our favorite part about this campsite is that there's only one site. Our group can be a rowdy bunch and it was nice to be able to camp without paying attention to time. We will definitely be back.
Molly saved us!
Host Molly bent over backwards to make our stay more pleasant. There had been a long drought, then suddenly a huge rain, which brought the biggest flush of mosquitos that area had ever seen. In preparation for our arrival Molly went to Walmart and invested in many of those "mosquito torches", and placed them all around our site and our campfire area in advance of our arrival. I was very doubtful about getting out of our car because the insects were "at the windows" trying to get in. We drove as close as possible to the area she had protected with the torches, and they worked! She also had used a spray on the surrounding grasses before we arrived. She also lit a big fire for us when we arrived, which was so very thoughtful and saved us the trouble. The fire helped with the insects as well.
Fantastic private campsite
Had a fantastic time at Sun Creek Farm this weekend, the campsite is better than the photos. Beautiful mown lawn right next a pond with access to trails through the woods, awesome for little kids.
We were lucky to have a steady breeze and barely noticed any mosquitos. Hosts were super friendly, provided firewood, tiki torches, and a port-a-john. We will almost certainly be back, as this spot is a great midway point for our family members in Chicago and Detroit.
Molly was an outstanding host! We couldn't have asked for a better spot. The location is a short drive from Battle Creek and Kalamazoo. The campsite itself was private and peaceful and free of mosquitoes! We loved walking through the trails along the property and listening to the wildlife. Molly was welcoming and attentive and made sure we were comfortable.
Me and my friend spontaneously went on a weekend camping trip up to Michigan and stayed here. We ended up picking a pretty cold weekend to go up, but whenever we would leave for the day we’d came back and have a fire roaring for us which made life so much nicer and warmer. The property is very pretty and spacious and the owner of the property is very nice and will answer any question you have quickly. I’m definitely coming back in the future.
