Our farm pastures pigs, cattle, sheep and poultry, investing in our dirt and our neighbors. We are provision family farms because we provide for our animals even as we are provided for. Drop on in at the house and we may have time for a little tour.

In the woods is a small composting toilet, but you're welcome to fertilize our pastures anytime.

The best time to visit Michigan forests is in October when the leaves turn color and the nights are cool. The mosquitoes are done for the winter and the air is brisk.

We had a great experience camping at Provision Family Farms. Our friendly host gave us a tour of the farm, introduced us to all the animals, and helped us get set up at our private camp in the woods with a view of the pond! The campsite was located in the back acreage (nice and quite, away from the road and other houses), with direct access to National Forest trails, a canoe to take out on the pond, and some basic amenities - like a fire pit with firewood, an old wire spool table, and tree stumps for sitting around the fire! Wish we could have stayed longer and will be back for sure. Thank you, Luke!

Loved our stay here. Perfect camp site with a view of the lake and the farm on the other side. Great to mix with the farm animals, met a family of piglets on our walk. Luke will tell you to camp or walk wherever you like. Great we could let our dog off the lead too. Purchased good bacon, sausage and eggs from our host. Didn't get to go on the lake but will do so next time. Planning another visit in the fall.

Very nice stay. Hosts made sure there was wood and accommodations where good. They made us feel at home on the farm. We were able to walk around and pet whatever animals we wanted. The family offered us fresh bread, watermelon, and chicken. Nice family and very private campsite. Not many bugs and direct access to the state park.

Super friendly host, and the campsite is very quiet and private! It's awesome to see all of the farm animals on the way to the campsite.

One of the best camping experiences I've ever had. Luke and his family are outstanding and turn this into not just camping, but a camping and farming experience. If you're staying here, do yourself a favor and tour the farm, buy some of their fantastic grass/natural/organic raised meats and unbeliveable whole milk.

Bottom line - this place is amazing, made even better by an amazing family and farm that goes with it.

This was unlike anything we could have imagined! We wanted a cheap, secluded spot to celebrate our nups but we got so much more! Luke's farm is nestled next to the state forest, so there's plenty of land to explore. His beautiful family showed us the lay of the land, highlighting the pigs, chicks, dogs, ducks, turkeys, a cow, and a horse. Provision's fresh meat was outstanding! We only ate fresh beef cooked over the campfire all weekend! The campsite is completely set away from the property and completely isolated, which was awesome (bring an SUV or hiking boots!) We had a better time here than we've had on destination vacations...can't recommend highly enough!!

Myself, my husband and teenage son had a great experience. We needed to unplug and get away, but also wanted to be safe and away from crowds. We also have two dogs, one of which really benefits from space to run. We decided to browse hipcamp and found this gem.

When we arrived, our host loaded some wood on a tractor and led us back to our campsite. He let us know there was some flexibility in preferred camp site, but he led us to a pasture / field along the water because we’d be in the sun, where things would dry up a bit, as we’ve had a lot of rain recently. It was a great suggestion and we loved our spot.

We drove our JEEP to the far end of the pasture, for a better view of the water and set up camp. Luke hiked up from his home to the site mid day the next day to check on us, and see if we needed more wood. He even walked an extra 1/3 mi or so with his young kiddo on his back, just to point out a trail, after I‘d inquired. Luke and his father were extremely hospitable, and we thank them for hosting us so kindly.

Luke was a gracious host. He provided our family with a personal tour of his free range farm that our 3 boys will never forget. The site was secluded with a view hard to match. Very grateful.
