Back Forty Tent Camping

This was a lovely place to spend a weekend walking in the woods, seeing the stars, and watching the fireflies light up in the meadow at dusk! Debbie and Paul are great hosts. We camped by the creek so it is a little walk from the parking spot but they provided a cart which made it easy. The out house is a walk from the creek camping but that was not a problem either as the walks were beautiful. There are plenty of places closer to parking to set up if preferred. We loved being down by the creek in among the trees. Thanks to Debbie and Paul for what can only be described as the perfect camping trip!

Made for a perfect base camp for biking around Charlevoix and Petoskey. Lots of walking trails to explore and places to camp. The stars were fantastic!

The site and surrounding property were beautiful, and secluded. Our hosts were kind, and incredibly accommodating. I would certainly camp here again!

Staying at Debbie and Paul’s property was an absolute dream come true. After 2 days of camping in crowded state parks, we wanted a quieter area to stay in. Paul and Debbie welcomed us with open arms, showed us around their different campsites and made sure to make us feel welcome. Each campsite on the property was idyllic, secluded and private. We ended up staying at the site next to a creek, complete with a rope swing. We had to head out after one night, but I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you, Paul and Debbie, for sharing your property with us!

We stayed in August 2019, my wife and I and our two daughters 6 and 9. Private. Great camping spot near a creek in a clearing in the woods. There was plenty of extra firewood available and plenty of room to set up tents. The hosts were nice and let my daughters give the horses on the farm a treat, and let them pet one of their 13 cats on multiple occasions. Highly recommended!

Debbie has a beautiful piece of land and I am so happy my husband and I were able to enjoy it. Out Back Farm is a only a few minutes from Charlevoix and just a short trip to Petoskey and Harbor Springs.

I took 4 of my kids, ages 3, 8, 11 & 14. They had a blast playing in the creek with the rope swing and the tree fort. The setting was excellent and we were very private. We also took short hikes along the trails. We were 5 minutes from Lake Charlevoix and the beach, so we also went there. It exceeded our expectations. Host was very kind and accommodating, giving us bug spray and a little parting gift. Highly recommend.

An excellent place to enjoy the woods, the stars, and the birds singing! Paul and Debbie are great hosts and make you feel very welcome. They have done a lot of work to turn their place into the perfect camping experience. We chose the camping spot by the creek which means a little bit of a walk to haul your stuff down but they provided a cart which made it easy! Then a little bit of a walk to the outhouse as well but that was no problem either because the various options for walking there are so beautiful! I believe there are other camping options closer to the parking spot if preferred. Just a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
