If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We booked a two night stay at this primitive cabin and it was exactly what we needed. The wood burning stove kept us plenty warm at night and was great for heating up our meals as well. Loved listening to the stream while we slept. Wife and I shared the single loft, it was tight but very fun. Cabin is big enough for a how is mattress is needed. Very beautiful property and the host was very kind and great about communication.
What a great combination of convenience and seclusion! This cabin is less than 5 minutes from stores and restaurants. Yet, from the cabin porch, there is no sign of civilization - just the sound of the creek and the wooded setting.
Jackie is a great host! We were unable to climb to the sleeping loft, so she rearranged furniture to make room for our cots.
A lovely and quaint stay
We loved the cabin, it took us back to the virtues of Benjamin Franklin with the kerosene lamps and misty-eyed visions of a distant time I only know from books. The bubbling brook was a nice touch and we were blessed with a tree frog, which we did not know was local to michigan. It was like finding out Madonna was from Saginaw! How neat! Our host was lovely and friendly and I believe we’ll be staying in the winter to take advantage of the wood stove. One thing we really like about this place is it’s perceived remoteness but when you leave the property you are only 5 minutes from town.
The cabin was super cute and comfortable. The host, Jackie, came by on the first morning to welcome us and give us some information about what to see or do in the area. The two horses on the property were beautiful! It was exactly what I needed and more than expected, I would definitely recommend to others, as well as book again.
Perfect quaint cabin
My girlfriend, two dogs and I stayed the night at this ranch and it was absolutely amazing! Enjoy your morning coffee under the covered porch, overlooking the babbling brook. Cook your meals fireside and enjoy the private natural setting. Relax with your favorite book in one of the rocking chairs and throw a log in the wood stove to crank up the coziness. There is more and more charm around every corner. Jackie and her adorable dog Cash were the best hosts! Without a doubt you will want to return for a second visit before you leave your first. A quaint little cabin on the most perfect little ranch!
Beautiful space, great location!
Jackie’s cabin was incredible! She provided us with numerous thoughtful touches which helped us have a great experience. Although the cabin was close to town, it seemed like we were in our own little world. Just what we needed to get away for the weekend!
Simple joys and cozy feels
We had an amazing time staying at Jackie's place! We arrived around dusk and the ambiance of the wood stove and oil lanterns inside the cabin made for the coziest old fashioned feeling! We cooked on top of the wood stove. We enjoyed "horsing around" during the day with Jem & Phoebe, our dog had fun running a-muck with Cash, and we drove into town a couple times to treat ourselves to meals out (Blue Water Cafe had a delicious breakfast).Sessions Lake is 15 minutes away for fishing, hiking, and a beach, all within the Ionia State Recreation Area. Our second night we cooked over the outdoor fire pit and gazed at the stars while listening to the babbling brook close by. This place is such a gem and we will definitely be back! Thank you Jackie!!
