We had such a wonderful time at this campsite! It was perfect for our family of three and there was plenty of space to camp in our camper van. Lots of firewood, chairs and a picnic table made it super convenient to set up camp. So private too. We will definitely be back!
Private oasis in the apple orchard
This Hipcamp spot was a dream! We had all the privacy in the world, in the middle of the apply orchards and huge, shady trees.
The spot came with a firepit, a ton of firewood, and chairs around the pit. There was also a pot-a-potty right up the hill. On the property they were growing a ton of other produce, so if you opt to get the U-pick basket with your reservation, they let us fill it with more than just apples!
The property itself was beautiful and the owners/employees were wonderful. Cannot wait to stay here again!
Fun stay at the orchard
We had a great time staying here. There was a port a potty available for us to use and it was very clean. We loved being able to take our dog with us and it was nice to have so much privacy.
Peace among the apple trees
My family and dog had a great two night stay. The campsite was easy to find and very quiet other than the sounds of animals and the occasional plane overhead. We easily found level ground for our two tents, appreciated the picnic table, and made a fire so the kiddos could roast marshmallows.
The bathroom was simple, but clean, with soap and toilet paper. It was a bit of a walk to the bathroom, and we had to walk along the road as the grass hadn't been cut in the orchard -- but it was still a lovely walk. But if anyone in your party requires a bathroom every time they need to go, it could get old fast.
We also visited their blueberry farm in Benton Harbor and had a blast filling a five-pound box with truly incredible berries.
If I had to pick a negative, it'd be the mosquitoes. They were pretty nasty. So bring very good repellant!
I'd recommend the site and would happily stay again.
We had a wonderful experience at Tom's farm. The landscape is gorgeous and peaceful, just the sound of birds and bees. It was great to see a working orchard up close. Ripening apple and peach trees everywhere. We only spent one night there but it felt like we were gone for much longer. Also nice that we could hit Warren Dunes State Park, which is a relatively short drive from Tom's orchard. We'll be back!
Tom’s farm is a perfect spot for a small group. You get the whole place to yourself. Tom and Gonsalo are wonderful hosts. The pre-check-in instructions were very clear. The place feels very secluded yet there are so many activities just a few minutes away. There is an abundance of firewood, fireflies, and walking paths around the property. It is a beautiful spot.
I’d suggest bringing your own drinking water and be aware that the flush toilet is a few minute walk away.
