Pitch your tent in our woods or fields on our 130 acre organic heirloom vegetable seed farm. Plenty of space for great hiking opportunities and privacy. 12 minutes or less from downtown Ann Arbor.

IF YOU WANT TO CAMP WITH, IN, ON, OR NEAR YOUR VEHICLE YOU MUST USE OUR RV LISTING. "RV/Vehicle - Organic Farm Ann Arbor".

Occasionally, if requested in advance and if we have time, farm produce is for sale and sometimes farm-to-table lunches can be arranged in advance for a suggested donation of $15+.  The most likely days for a farm lunch would be on Thursdays or Fridays, usually around 12:30 or 1 pm.  Please request a farm lunch before arriving and we'll see if we can accommodate you. We also sell fruit trees, vegetable seeds, and certified organic produce. We are an organic farm so it's very important to practice proper sanitation and not to leave your waste here on our land (no foxholes - do not bury your waste, pack it out!).  Additionally, there is a truck stop just 1/2 mile away with showers and bathrooms. We have bundles of firewood for sale for $10 or for larger quantities it's $25/quarter face cord or $100/facecord.

We often have educational events at the farm and need to use some of our campsites for them.  We will do our best to accommodate your specific site preference, but we reserve the right to change your site # without advance notice.

WHEN BOOKING OR ASKING ABOUT A RESERVATION, PLEASE BE SPECIFIC ABOUT YOUR ARRIVAL TIME.  IF YOU DON'T ARRIVE WITHIN 45 MINUTES OF OUR MUTUALLY AGREED UPON ARRIVAL TIME OR IF YOU DON'T SPECIFY A TIME WHEN YOU BOOK YOUR RESERVATION IT MAY BE CANCELLED WITH NO REFUND. NO EXCEPTIONS!

IF YOU OR ANYONE IN YOUR PARTY IS UNVACCINATED FOR COVID-19 PLEASE INFORM US UPON ARRIVAL AND PLEASE KEEP AWAY FROM OUR DOG.

Please keep in mind that we are a working farm not a campground with formal grounds.  We offer hipcamp spaces in addition to the many other things we do on and off the farm and we are very busy people so please understand that we may not always be available for tours, meals, produce sales, or special requests.

Great place. Convenient to get to. Host and dog excellent. I had a wonderful evening. Went to bed about midnight and never really sleep due to highway noise. Left early in the morning a day early.

Response from Michael, the Host, on May 31st, 2021

Thanks Bruce! Glad you enjoyed it here and thanks for checking out our farm. Sorry you didn't sleep well while you were here. Yes, we are close to I-94 and some nights the highway can be loud up on the hill at site 9 if the wind is blowing from that direction, but usually it doesn't. We have a very large property and we do have plenty of other sites at lower elevations on the other side of the hill where it can be so quiet you can't hear the highway at all. Also, the leaves are more filled out now, the frogs are loud, and the cicadas are about to start so the night sounds can definitely drown out the far away highway at the right time of year, even at the top of the hill where you were. Would you like to try another spot sometime? You are welcome to come back anytime! Hipcamp guests are human beings with feelings and emotions, just like yourself! Keep it simple. A simple thank you for your patronage and feedback can go a long way.

Very nice spot very close to home. Mike and the entire family were really friendly. They helped jump start my buddies car in the morning. We rode out a snow storm and very low temperatures in a very cool shelter on the camp site. Nice!

Wonderful experience that exceeded our expectations!

Host was helpful and kind (with distancing and other accommodations provided for these pandemic times).

Plenty of privacy, great views during the day and night for stargazing. We camped during a warm stretch in November, and the rising sun warmed the tent so nicely.

Also really loved the firewood (oak from the property I am guessing), was great for cooking over the fire.

We will be back in the Spring!

Michael was friendly and welcoming. He greeted us from a safe distance, gave us the rundown on the farm, and disappeared for the rest of our stay. We ended up at site 5 and it was the perfect place to enjoy the Halloween blue moon, complete with howling coyotes. The property itself is neat and fun to explore. We appreciated the option to have fire wood waiting for us. We are already looking forward to returning in the spring.

Micheal’s farm is very quaint and sweet. We had a nice tiMe visiting Ann Arbor which is very close. We had a great fire late into the night and a very comfortable sleep. One con is that the highway is a little closer than we expected and you can hear the cars. But we were tired so we fell right asleep. The porta pottie Is close and we felt very secluded.
