Awesome experience! We stayed at Campsite #1 and found it very easy to get to and while close to the road and cabins behind Legs Inn, it was still quite private. We had easy walk to the beach and were very close to the "very clean" port-a-John. Picnic table, fire pit and plenty of room with plenty of privacy. Thanks so much!!

The campsite was actually very nice. A bit smaller but we were able to get three tens up within the given space. Picnic table on site was provided and even a couple bundles of wood to help start a great weekend!

The best part of the site of course is being literary 40-50 feet away from Michigans beautiful lake. All you can hear is wind and the clash of sublte waves during the day as well as at night.

Theres a portable potty on site which was very clean and seriously no awful smells or anything like that.

The only small minor item on the site is how you get to campsite 2. You have to cross a few planked boards across a shallow marsh which is fine, brings a very secluded feeling towards the experience but the issue is that one pieces of the plank has a section where you can fall into the marsh. A few of us ended up with some soaked socks and shoes but other than that the campsite is pretty nice.

Id recommend this site to others as ill be back next year forsure.

Second time staying at site #2! Such a beautiful spot to disconnect from electronics and reconnect with family. The sunsets and starry skies are breath taking!

A very cool little spot right by the beach, with a near-spotless port-a-potty and a great view of the night sky. Nice if you'd like to have a little more privacy than nearby Wilderness State Park, and you still get the dark sky view.

Small park with boat launch nearbyVery clean toiletNice beach nearbySite 2, closer to the beach. Quite windy here, especially if there's a storm coming.

Beautiful campsite within steps to the beach. The campsite itself is cozy and tucked away where your neighbors or beach visitors can’t see you. Cleanest porta potty I’ve ever used. We stayed in site 2 and it was wonderful to fall asleep to the waves of Lake Michigan. Our neighbors at site 1 arrived after dark as we were going to bed and we didn’t hear them at all. Great privacy between sites. The beach next door offers a boat dock, bbq grills, and a covered picnic area. Come prepared with everything including firewood as the gas station in town is closed down and there is nothing else except the Legs Inn restaurant. We did not see any other firewood stands on our way in to town. Great private campsite that was perfect for our layover between Mackinaw and TC.

Really pretty setting and so close to the beach. Just watch out for poison ivy and there’s no water spigot or pump.

We camped at this site the night before the Mackinaw Bridge Walk. We had site # 2 which was closer to the water (where the sounds of the waves lulled us to sleep). The location was about 30 minutes from the bridge. Our site had a good picnic table and fire ring. The shared porta potty was clean and had paper. To reach our site, we had to walk over a damp area on wood planks. The vegetation in this area was a little overgrown, but the area where we pitched our tents was good. Due to the lake breeze, we were not bothered by insects. The dark night sky allowed star gazing. I would camp here again and appreciated the detailed directions and communications from Hipcamp.
