CAMP Born A Glen Farm - Leelanau
Second time around!
We loved the first time so much that when we had an opportunity to spend some time with our kid and his family, we went back two weeks later! We just love the location and the host are just amazingly wonderful and helpful people. And I think the chickens loved that we were back! Whenever we need to be in this area or want to be in this area in the future this is where we will stay!

Women’s camping trip
Women’s trip north, had a wonderful time. We all loved camping behind Angela’s barn. Cute chickens and tiny chicks kept us company. Perfect amount of sun or shade, trees to hang a hammock, and nice dry firewood for our campfire. Great local restaurant suggestions, too. Will definitely return!

WHAT FUN!!!
What fun!! It is a different kind of spot than we are used to. We always go for complete seclusion. This one has lots acreage, but the spot is nearby the storage barn and house a bit farther. Remember, it is their land! A working family. You may see them outside as a family at the picnic table, enjoying their meal or… Sitting around the campfire! They are an extremely polite family who completely respect your privacy! So helpful, the moment we drove up one of their teenage kids came to help us ! our view sitting around the campfire was unique , you look up a hill of red pine trees, and at the end if you make the adventure, is a horse farm. But most fun for us and our grandkids were all the chicken! even though, they can wake you up in the morning because that rooster loves to talk, they would come visit and it was such a lesson in chicken behavior. I work at a Zoo, so it was heaven for me. Hosts leave you water, you can fill your trailer with water if you want, there is electricity. And the Porta potty is the best I’ve ever seen, even water to wash your hands. Location, location, location!. Went to a new beach and we love it!! my son came to pick up his kids and was just enamored by the bohemian beach. Found new places to go kayaking in future. You won’t find a better spot in the area. If you think seeing this family once in a while while you’re camping would be an issue, just remember what it’s like in a state park! WILL BE BACK FOR SURE! Husband approved!!

Very Kind. Helpful. Very clean for arrival. Loved all the chickens hanging out. The historical buildings were beautiful. Thanks for a great experience. Her recommendations for the French winery was great too.

My family and I had a great time staying on the farm. The spot was scenic and quiet. My grandson loved the chickens that would visit us to say hi. The host provided water, electricity and a porta john on the site. Her communication was excellent in making sure we were taken care of.
I would definitely stay here again

Centrally Located Location
Angela was very welcoming and the accommodations were exactly as described in the listing. We especially appreciated the power cord and containers of potable water. We really only used Angel’s camping area as a place to sleep because we were out and about so much enjoying the surrounding cities, which were all very close in proximity. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re up for a camping trip.
