Perfect base camp for exploring the Keweenaw! Private and secluded, yet Evan was nearby if we needed anything. Campsite and outhouse were both very clean. Loved that there was a bucket of water for the fire. Cows, chickens, and dogs were delightful. Wonderful atmosphere! Can’t wait to return!
Amazing views and friendly animals
Evan has an amazing spot. Beautiful stars at night, friendly animals on the property! My partner and I got to pick some apples from a nearby tree to feed the cows nearby. Evan was super hospitable and friendly. We would love to come back again.
We came in late to our campsite and Evan still made it a point to say hello and show us to our campsite. We came in at a time where you could see the Aurora borealis. Which was magical and the best place to be. The campsite was beautiful and very well maintained. The composting toilet was a very clean and beautifully made. There are two very adorable cows and chickens that live there too. We will definitely be back.
Evan is a very welcoming host he meets you as you show up and makes sure you find your spot with ease. His land is quiet and relaxing. He even shared with us a guide he made up of favorite spots around the area!
We loved our stay at this property. Evan escorted us to the site when we arrived and couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. Privacy and quiet and fresh-baked bread. What more could we ask for!
I thought this was a great camping location. The site included a picturesque lake, 15 year old white pines, blueberries, nice picnic tables, and was off the well traveled path. It's also fairly centrally located in the Keweenaw Peninsula and allows convenient access to Lake Superior beaches. The homestead has a impressive collection of ~ 1900 dovetail construction log buildings along with a few farm animals.
