Sites are nestled in a Wooded grove of trimmed oak trees, overlooking small man-made lake. Nice for quiet camping, about 7 miles from Montague and minutes away from Lake Michigan. Recreational activities nearby to suit everyone in the family! Named after the the Karner Blue butterfly, our goal is to do what we can to preserve this federally endangered beauty living in a narrow band from Eastern Minnesota to New Hampshire. Assuring the integration of our campsites into this beautiful area while we strive to manage and improve the nature and wildlife in our area to keep our butterflies safe, is our primary goal. There are certain areas of the campground we plan to never develop to preserve the land for our butterfly’s home, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful Karner Blue butterfly’s presence for life!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Quiet and the evening along with campfire ,listening to the sounds of the owls and coyote added bonus. We will be back! Just make sure you have a table for cooking on, food prep. ect. As there is no picnic tables or tables available . We made due though. The McQuay's
This trip was pretty awesome. Tracy was super nice and had answers ready when we had questions. The potta-potty was clean and the veiw was amazing. We brought 2 big dogs and they loved it, it was basically everyone's first rustic camping trip and we'd all love to come again.
This was a beautiful camp area with very ample size sites. The camp are was very welcoming, and nature was all around. The only thing that i wasnt super pleased with was the firewood bundle size for the price, but it wouldnt keep ne from coming back. Its a great place.
Quiet, secluded space to reset
Quiet space to reset. Campground was fairly small, shaded, some sites do have a view of the lake. The lake isn't something I would swim in - it's a pretty typical Michigan 'pond' IMHO, slimy on the bottom and floating grasses on the top. Short trail around the lake was nice for a walk with the dog. Host told us there are lots of trails right off of the campsite you could walk or take your ORV on, but we didn't explore them as it was a bit too buggy for our taste. I was eaten alive by spiders/mosquitos - not to the fault of the host, of course, this was my bad for leaving the bug spray at home! Porta Potty was clean, water and electric hookups available and functioning. Would stay here again for a couple of nights to reset, but not something I would make a long trip for.
