This hip camp was amazing and just what we’d hop for in northern MI. The camp was secluded and well appointed. From the honor system wood vending to the gas grill, fire pit and ports potty it had it all.
Even though we were only there one night it was perfect.

We enjoyed our stay at campsite #3 and would return here again. The campsite was a bed of soft pine needles, shaded, was a short walk to the designated parking area, and still secluded enough to have some privacy. A short drive/bike ride away was a cute town with fun restaurants, a beach, and boat launch for the lake.

Quick walk from campsite 3 to communal bonfire pit and designated parking Campsite #3

The main site, was a nice cleared meadow, room for one RV/Trailer set up and parking for the other sites. The other campsites (1-5) are small and far enough apart as to not feel stacked on top of each other. This is an excellent place for cycle packing or pack camping. The hosts communicated well and provided ample fire wood and tinder. The gas grill helped out a ton. 1/2 mile from Walloon Lake where there is a general good store. It was a wonderful stay and a great experience.

Egan & Bob’s land was a great home base for us to bike, kayak and explore the surrounding towns. We were at Site 3 which was at the base of many pine trees and provided some much needed relief from the sun on a hot 4th of July weekend! They provided a grill and cooking station which was really nice to have as well.
