A nice little getaway
Cute, spacious and peaceful! My boyfriend and I can’t wait to come back next year to see what Janeen has done. She has big plans for the campground. We were super cozy by the fire, got to pick fresh lavender, and enjoyed the local food places. Also had chickens as our camp-mates. How awesome!
Great host, primitive site.
This was a very peaceful environment to stay in, but no amenities for campers at present. Ja-Neen has lots of plans for her space, which are great and she currently offers reiki and massage in a yurt and at an outdoor table/station for clients. There’s a beautiful garden that’s a work in progress (as all gardens are) with u-pick herbs, veggies and aromatic plants, such as lavender. There is also a lovely fire pit with beach sand and gorgeous rocks around it and we got to experience a drumming circle. There’s no water, trash receptacles, or electricity (which was advertised on the website), but our hostess very graciously found us a generator we could use daily to refresh our batteries and recharge our electronics. The site was a bit tight for our 38 ft trailer and truck combo; we couldn’t use the enter/exit road as set up because our unit was too wide. We were able to swing around and exit the way we came in, though. Definitely need to be self contained and/or self sufficient to stay here and probably better for smaller units. Entrance is around the corner on Stockwell Road, not at address listed on GPS. We really enjoyed the friendly conversation with our host and enjoyed our stay.
A peaceful place
Ja-Neen is doing her best to create a kind, accepting, and peaceful place for people to stay and visit. There is a beautiful wildflower field a nice fire pit fresh spring water and a garden with up and coming herbs and produce. Ja-Neen is working hard each day to get more and more done around the camp some of it is still a work in progress but it is a beautiful place to stay nonetheless and I'm sure it will only get even better with time. With some notice the camp offers yoga meditation drumming circles reiki and massages. There are also opportunities to paint Windows and doors that will be set around the camp as artwork. All in all this is a wonderful place to stay if you're looking to kick back and relax for a while and find some inner peace.
