What a lovely spot! Our family throughly enjoyed staying in this beautiful, well-maintained and quiet Hipcamp. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and hospitable. Great access to both Sutton’s Bay and Traverse. We will definitely be back! Thanks for having us!

Great, quiet campsite perfectly level at the top of a hill and nice prairie/wooded view surrounding. There are abundant activities all around including a small but usually empty beach pull off just a few minutes down the road.

Jayne and her whole family were amazing hosts and very friendly (even helping tie down some items in our campsite when the wind got out of control and we were gone for the day!)

Would definitely return. We’ve stayed at the state parks in the area and thinking we prefer Elm Valley. Only advice is know where you plan to dump your waste on the way back as Google is not extremely reliable suggesting places.

Great communication from Jayne prior to our arrival. When we arrived Marty helped us back in and get set up. There was a hook up for electric and water. It was quiet and surrounded by beautiful woods. There was a nice picnic table and fire pit. The location was great and close to Suttons Bay and a short drive from Traverse City. Jayne and Marty were very friendly and available for questions if needed. Loved it here and would not hesitate to stay again!

Great private site close to all that the area has to offer. Electric and water hookups were a bonus. Jayne was a great communicator and made some great recommendations. If we didn’t live 1000 miles away we’d be back very soon . Thanks again Jayne for sharing with us.

What a great set up and such kindness from the moment we booked to the conversation before we headed home. This was our first experience with Hipcamp and it set the bar high! This site was in a beautiful well cared for spot on their property in a secluded area between TC and Suttons Bay. This is a great location for two families to book a site and have there own gathering and explore the area together. Mike and Jayne know the area well and have a passion to share the beauty of the area with others. It was also helpful that there was a gas station less than a mile away that we could pull our 32 ft RV through with ease to gas up and the prices were the same as a Sams club. It was stocked and also has a little take out restaurant inside. We were busy the whole weekend with a wedding so we look forward to coming back to get the fuller experience.

Thank you so much. It was great to meet you and have a little time to visit before you left. We will keep you in mind the next time we’re in Lansing. That is so thoughtful of you. Hopefully you can get back here and have more time to enjoy the area.

Perfect spot for a long weekend. We spent the mornings hiking and biking nearby, and the afternoon visiting wineries. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, the site was wonderful.

Jayne's spot was truly wonderful. I was visiting the area for business in my converted van and was happy to find a spot that not only allowed converted vans, but had electric hookups (30 amp - and they had an adapter for my 15 am plugs for me to use!) and a little spout for water.

I had plenty of room to pull into and out of my spot - I got to choose from the two since I was the only camper - with each having a very nice fire pit and gorgeous trees all around. It was quiet except for the lone coyotes howling and some little creatures prowling the bushes, which I like quite a bit myself. Jayne and her husband were very friendly - genuinely warm, welcoming, and accommodating - and it was a joy to get to know them.

It's a nice location, just far enough away from Traverse City to have more peace and still be close to town - and even closer to Sutton's Bay.

I'll definitely be staying again if ever I'm in need of a spot in the area. Highly recommend!

Nice and private with good firepit and picnic table. Jayne & Mike were so nice and Mike gave us fresh smoked whitefish. The electric and water hookup for the RV worked great. The peninsula area is beautiful. Thanks for the hospitality!
