Jeffrey was very kind and accommodating. He even started a fire for us as it was cold and hitting dusk by the time we arrived to set up. The site is lovely, though we agree with other reviewers who mentioned that hearing traffic was a bit odd. There is plenty of room for multiple tents and really lovely in the fall. Thanks Jeffrey!
Jeffery was a great host. He was friendly when we arrived and showed us everything we needed. I loved hearing his story about how he got into hipcamp. He even made sure we had dry wood even though it had been raining the past couple of days.
The spot itself is phenomenal. We were able to camp, hammock, have a fire, all while feeling far enough away from the house and everything else. There is a private privy that he made that worked out perfectly.
We would definitely stay here again.
Jeff was very accommodating to my group from the moment we arrived. We were provided with complimentary fire starter bricks as well as iced water. There were practically no bugs and the shade made 85° feel like a brisk 75°. My group’s only complaint would be the toilet situation, but there’s a clean gas station down the road for that. Overall: Great host, location, and time.
The Eagles Neat is a fitting name for this camp. It felt perfectly secluded and woodsy. There were a number of pleasant places to set up camp.
You can hear a bit of highway traffic during busy times, buts it off in the distance and not intrusive at all. Host was friendly and his chickens were fun to see! There was even a little cat who came to say goodbye to us on our way out! I’d be back!
We really enjoyed our stay at Eagle's Nest. Jeff was very welcoming, and eager to offer any assistance we may need. The site is very large, and clean, and extremely private. It stormed the entire first night, but down deep in the woods, we were dry, I would recommend this site.
Loved the chickens!!
First hipcamp experience
Jeff was an excellent host. He had a bag of ice, 2 large waters, and a cooler available for us. There was also plenty of firewood and a grate to go over the fire. He had a basic shelter/outhouse which was nice to have available.
The site was clean, shady, pretty large, and nicely situated far enough from the main property, but far enough in the woods for full privacy. The site is close to an open field for stargazing at night.
We canoed on the Looking Glass River, which was beautiful. A few log jams kept us on our toes though.
We heard and saw lots of wildlife , including a white tail deer, prancing around in the morning. Oliver the cat was a real treat too. He wandered over for a visit a few times a day.
We would love to come back. Thanks Jeff!
