It was a nice little spot and my kids loved it there we have only went camping with them one other time. We loved waking up on the river and hearing mother nature! There were a few snakes in the mornings we found a few everyday we were there, and there was leaches in the river. I wish we could have gotten more wood for the $15.00 we got 13 pieces and they were small pieces but we made due. It is a nice spot with the kids!

Beautifully kept property. Each campsite is so beautiful right on the river and the brush on the edge gave us some privacy. Spot 2 and 3 were my favorite. 2 had a cool shelter bench and 3 felt the most private with a nice big tree for shade. Spot 4 was pretty open and sunny but next to a beautiful patch of yellow flowers and spot 1 was right on the main pathway but next to the main waterfall area. The other camp sites are within veiw but pretty private. Lots of different pretty natural flowers all throughout the property. The stream flowing through the property was so peaceful to listen to. The porta poty was clean and so homey. There were plenty of spots to hammock up near the stream. The host Sarah was wonderful and very accommodating!

What a nice quiet little spot. We stayed in spot 1 which is by the little creek under some trees, but we had a chance to look at the other spots on the river as well.

Sarah is sweet. Her property is stunning with a beautiful and very cold creek leading into the Muskegon River. We stayed in campsite 1 close to the waterfall. The sound puts kids right to sleep😀. There is a big hill to carry all your stuff down so only bring what you need. She did have an extra wagon for campers to use even though we already brought one. Her outhouse is clean. We purchased firewood and got a few split logs and the rest were smothering our fire. If ur buying her wood make sure to bring a hatchet. Otherwise property is breathtaking. My kids loved the warmer side of the river. When we packed up to leave she offered us cucumber plants to take home. What a great host with breathtaking land.

This place is absolutely magical. From the moment you arrive it’s a captivating experience. The bike path was great for my roller blades, longboard, and bicycle. There’s a lovely outlook down a ways. Sleeping next to the river and creek offered soothing sounds to fall sleep to. We turned off our cell phones for our stay, enjoying feeling totally away from the busy world. Perfect location for kayaking, we also brought tubes that we tied to a tree and floated out in the river. Lots of trees perfect to hang hammocks between. This was my second stay here. This trip I enjoyed a very private, secluded stay. Last trip we ended up hanging out and cooking with the other campers. It’s a 6 hour drive for me to the location coming from Wisconsin, and it’s 100% worth it. I hope to make the trip again soon. 11/10 recommend.

Doriath Springs is truly a sincere and beautiful area to relax and appreciate Mother Earth. The river adds an extra layer of relaxation along with the sounds from the creek. The potty area was clean. The bike trail offered a quick and convenient trail in to Reed City and is well maintained. Such a great opportunity to camp without dealing with large groups of people.
