Keweenaw Bay is less than half a mile away and the Keweenaw Peninsula is surrounded by Lake Superior!

The main drive onto the property is made of crushed concrete and gravel.

Camp Kismet was a great spot to camp! It is a short walk down to Lake Superior! Great location for exploring the UP. There were some great wooded paths around David's land making it a peaceful, secluded place to stay. Having an RV open with access to a toilet/shower/sink was a nice plus too! Highly recommend checking this place out!

David’s property offers lots of space for the perfect camping experience.
His dog Bianca is super friendly and sweet. There is a camper with a toilet and water for guest use.
We parked on the gravel but David told us we’re able to park closer to our tent so we will do that next time.
David graciously offered his blueberries and tomatoes before we left. Thank you for hosting David! We look forward to a future stay.

Four of us stayed 2 nights at Kismet and had a great time. We met David when we arrived and he showed us around the area, including the delicious blackberry bushes. There aren't necessarily dedicated camping sites, you can just set up anywhere along the trails. We chose to set up in a large open area near the grapevines. There is one communal firepit up front near the cabin, which was the only downside. Dedicated sites with firepits would be my only recommendation.

David was a great host. We were wilderness camping with the advantages of the availability of a shower and toilet.

David was very accommodating and wanted to assure that you were going to be in the best place on the property. Super cute, little nuzzled space!

His beautiful dog Bianca greets with love and his kindness beams upon your arrival. While, we had wished we had our own little fire pit. We did appreciate having a private, little hideaway while we bopped around the neighboring towns. The only struggle we had were the mosquitos were bad in the area, and I’m prone for being eaten alive, but that’s not David’s fault. That’s Mother Nature. :-) We loved our stay and would totally go back again!!
