Glamorous Camping.

This Hipcamp was everything my glamper-adventurer heart desires. Dreamy woodburning accommodations offered up in the plushy, outfitted walltent and real-deal sauna created for us deep relaxation, reflection and restoration. The locale on mystical Keweenaw Peninsula, the farmer-homesteader aptness in hospitality (farm-fresh eggs!), and "to-a-t" aesthetics set my dreams alight toward returning.

An Absolute Dream!
If you're thinking of booking, I'll give you a second so you can do it NOW. This place has it all!
I was looking for an easy spot to camp in and was lucky enough to find this spot at Northernbarn. This canvas tent comes complete with a super comfortable bed with linens, blankets and a zillion perfect pillows, stove, two comfy side chairs and more. But that's just the inside.... outside there's all sorts of space to include a privy, fire pit and what's that next to the hammock???? A SAUNA..... All in a quiet spot far enough to feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, but close enough to hit the road to area attractions, Lake Superior, the store, etc... easily.
Sauna heated quickly with the wood found on site. Inside are all the tools to make a sauna great. This was the first time I used a sauna with a lounge sort of feature to lean back on while getting heated up. I LIKE!
Doesn't get much better than this! Wildlife visited in the mornings and just before bed. With the leaves just starting to change, the short walk from parking to the camp was pretty. I had a wagon, but the hosts offered to cart my gear up to camp on their side by side if needed. I just had a backpack and a cooler, so, the wagon was fine. Fresh roasted coffee and farm fresh eggs made breakfast yummy. There's a cute oven for the wood burning stove I didn't get a chance to use, but imagine baking cinnamon rolls IN YOUR TENT.... super sweet! Yep... I was spoiled this camping trip!
I enjoyed my short stay and highly recommend. I camp solo all over the UP and the camp at Northernbarn felt safe, had everything I needed and the hosts were top notch. See you both again soon!
