Best camp spot EVER!
We always hate to leave. The river is knee high and thigh high at one spot by the bend. I let the kids and the dogs go while I chill in my hammock. The outhouse is just a place to 1 or 2 but its nicely made. The sunset above the pines is awesome. Its close to the highway but super quiet at night. The well water is clean and crisp. Lots of space up top. We had a great time, wish we could stay forever. Location is very easy to find.
Absolutely loved this place! Water was around knee deep or less and an all sandy bottom. My dog had an absolute blast! The view on the morning was amazing! I have recommended this place to several people so hopefully they look into sraying!!
The overlook was absolutely stunning and the campsites were very cool! It was simple to find and even though it’s close to the road the amount of trees fill the space so it’s very secluded. The river was so awesome to play in with froggies all over and beautiful sunset views. The bathroom was very clean and a trash can was right by the outhouse!

We are pleased that you you had a good time. :-) Thank you for coming ! Safe travels…
My family loves the private rustic area Boondock provides. The dock and river are always our favorite. Having the well is definitely a life saver and you are just a few miles from town. Mosquitoes are bad so be prepared. Also raccoons visit at night so don’t leave food out; normal for camping in the woods. 😊
I had a perfect stay. I got to enjoy everything I was looking for, in some fantastic surroundings. This place is obviously well cared for, and I hope to return with my grandchildren sometime soon.

We are glad you enjoyed the spot. Thank you for coming! Safe travels…:-)
This was our first Hipcamp experience and it was perfect! The site was very well maintained and clean. Even the outhouse was super cute and clean! You can tell Nick and Teresa have put lots of time and thought into making a wonderful campsite.
We set up our tent on the lower site. It felt more secluded and cozy down there. The lower site has a dock on the river, a fire pit, a picnic table, and the beautiful artisan well! It was such a cool place to hang out! The river was shallow, very clear, and sandy bottom. The water was cold but we had so much fun playing and exploring in the river!
As others have mentioned there is road noise since it’s right off a main road. This really didn’t bother us and wouldn’t deter us from staying again!
Thank you so much Nick and Teresa for sharing your beautiful land with us! We would absolutely love to come back!

Amazing place!! Wish It wasn’t always booked. Beautiful place!! We will go again

Thank you for coming:-) And thank you for leaving the site So nice and leaving the flower pots! Glad you enjoyed yourself….safe travels…
We loved our time staying at Nick and Teresa’s Boondock Ridge!! The land and river are gorgeous and inviting. The main site is right off the the road (but nicely shielded from it by a thick woods - great for privacy but you will inevitably hear road noise) and is comprised of a large clearing surrounded by woods with a nicely bricked fire ring, picnic table, bench over looking the ridge to the north and river below, cute and clean composting toilet outhouse, and trash dumpster. There is plenty of room here for a tent, tents, or camper, or for games of soccer or kickball.
A short, downhill trail on the east side of the main site takes you another smaller clearing with a picnic table, a second fire ring, dock over the river and the artisanal spring. The spring water is delicious and cold, so refreshing. The river has a lively sandy bottom and was about 12 feet wide and 1.5-2 feet deep for a good 30-40 feet on either side of the dock - perfect for wading and exploring, playing catch with the dog, and floating on tubes or kayaks.
Nick and Teresa were super hospitable and thoughtful, happy to bring firewood over, and easy to contact in the event of an issue. We look forward to returning!
Things to note: the ridge on the main site is open the north and strong winds do blow through so be mindful of tent site selection. There is also a fair bit of poison ivy growing around outhouse area. As long as you stay on the paver path, you’ll be fine.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We will have to see about that poison ivy…. Thank you for coming and until next time… Safe travels!
This was our family's second time staying at this location. My review stays the same. Amazing 2 spots to stay on. Bigger spot being on top of the hill with the beautiful view of the river, only downfall is traffic noises. Smaller spot down the trail, on the river. We camp here because we want privacy and woods. We get both here. Plan on camping again at this location.

Thank you Danielle for coming back, Glad you had a good time:-) Safe travels….
