Such a beautiful property with fantastic company!
Duane & Marcy were such helpful and fun hosts.
The property is wonderful, quiet, very peaceful - as you pull up you wouldn’t expect such a relaxing and quaint area to camp, hang out.
It was a perfect experience for us.
Thank you so much!!
Loved the flexibility to put our tent wherever we needed to. We set it up right next to our friend’s yurt (Boho site). The swimming area was the best part! My dog loved roaming the property with us and everyone was friendly and accommodating.
Duane and Marcy are excellent hosts. The property is gorgeous and the stars and constellations in the night sky is a show unlike any other. I honestly felt "home there" and Will be back! Thank you guys 💚💚
Camping in rainy weather!
Another great stay! This time I brought friends and their dog! They want to come back when it's a little cooler and hopefully a little less rainy. We loved our swim in the pond! The microwave and bathroom amenities are always a lifesaver! Duane and Marcy are the best!
Northern light glamping!
During our short stay at Bent Oak Tent Retreat, my husband and I enjoyed the natural beauty of an open-sky Hipcamp, and quality interaction with friendly people.
Upon our arrival, our friendly and accommodating host, Marcy, greeted my husband and I, then gave us a tour of her lovely Hipcamp.
The property itself was very well-maintained, and offered an abundance of outdoor activities. A cute pond with a sandy beach runs parallel to the campsites here, so opportunities for waterborne leisure are abundant; there are kayaks and a paddleboat, and plenty of great places to stretch out and relax.
One unique feature about this property that must be mentioned is the glamping tent itself. Hosts, Marcy and Duane, have done a wonderful job creating a space that is sure to offer a memorable camping experience. Lounge sofas, a Sleep-Number bed, and a streaming light mechanism that mimics the ethereal projections of the Northern Lights are part of what makes this expansive tent structure such a joy to visit.
Thank you for great hospitality and sharing your Hipcamp with us, Marcy and Duane. My husband and I greatly enjoyed our time with you both at Bent Oak Tent Retreat and hope to visit again in the future.
Created memories for a lifetime!!
This was the first time we were camping with our kids and Duane & Marcy gifted us with the most amazing experience we couldn't even imagine. They have a beautiful lush green property and the best thing about it is the pond that makes it so special. It is beautiful with the clean blue water which comes to life at dusk with the colorful fountain. They had a few kayaks for us to use, a paddle boat, sand toys. a huge water mat. My son , restless as he is, spent all of the time on water. Also they have a clean, beautiful swimming pool where we did spend few hours just talking and relaxing. They even have setup a 6 hole disc golf course which may not be on their page yet.
Highly recommend this place specially whenever you want to take a break and specially if you going with kids as you get kind of like your own private beach.
They also have tents setup in case you do not want to carry your own tent and we took a tour and they we beautiful, new and my wife already mentioned she wants that next time we visit there.
Now to the most important part. Thought we got more than the site describes and it turned out more beautiful that pictures do justice, what made it so special were our hosts. Duane and Marcy welcomed us with open arms and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived to the time we left. The whole property is a labor of love and it will be visible as soon as you reach and meet the hosts.
We will be back again and hopefully this year itself
Marcy & Duane were very kind and hospitable. Upon our arrival they gave us a tour of the property and showed us where the amenities were. They made sure we were comfortable and had everything that was needed before heading to the house for the night. The modern toilet, sink with cold water, and fridge were a big plus and made our quick weekend getaway a breeze. They also had water, hand soap, toothpaste, and ice packs available which was a huge plus. We enjoyed a campfire under the stars, hung out on the beach, kayaked, and observed the wildlife. Our dogs loved roaming around the green grass and playing fetch in the backyard. 10/10 would stay here again!
Note: after reading previous reviews we assumed the pool was part of the amenities, but after asking we learned that the pool is actually private. Personally, we didn’t mind this at all as the pond was equally refreshing, but an FYI for future campers in case that’s a big deal for your group.
