Another lovely and all too short stay at this sweet cabin. Glad it was still cold enough at night to justify using the wood stove. Lovely to see the garden beginning to stir to life. It’s clearly going to be beautiful this spring and summer.
Our family loved the quiet, cozy getaway to Just Be Cabin. What a way to pass the afternoon (and a raging thunderstorm) and evening. The cabin was terrific, simple but with just enough amenities (going in we thought it didn’t have electricity for some reason- so a pleasant surprise that it did). The wood stove was awesome. Stacey was a terrific communicator and our little guy loved meeting the 2day old chic and all the older chickens. Thank you so much!
Myself and my partner absolutely loved our trip. Snowed for most of our weekend with the most fantastic view surrounding us. Stacey was extremely kind and fantastic at responding to us! The cabin itself is very clean, well kept, and simple which made for one of the best weekends I’ve had in a while. We brought a little projector and projected movies on the ceiling at night, prepped fresh veggies in marinades, and brought some wine. Couldn’t ask for anything better!

Peaceful spot to watch woods on a blustery day. The acoustics in the cabin are superb! I enjoyed hearing nuances in favorite pieces that were as clear as live performances. As others note, the bed is quite comfortable and the cabin is clean and calm. Stacey was very kind when I was delayed arriving and kept the cabin warm with a fire in the wood stove. She pointed me toward a nice walk and even shared beautiful eggs from her flock. Looking forward to returning again!
what a gem of a spot. quiet woods, simple cabin, badass little wood stove. the earth closet was awesome, so much better than my 21st century compost toilet! I would definitely recommend to those looking for a silent retreat space, writer's nook, or reminder of simple living. the hosts were generous and quiet. so grateful for this place!
Stacey's cabin was the perfect weekend getaway for our small group! When we arrived the cabin was warm and inviting and we felt at home instantly. Beautiful scenery, close to small towns and great hikes, and very cozy!

We had a such a cozy fall weekend at Just Be cabin. The wood stove kept us warm, the hot plate was perfect for food prep, and the composting toilet is great. Waking up to such a peaceful view of the forest was such a treat. Stacey was a gracious host, giving us clear directions on how to find the cabin and use the roof stove, and even got a fire going in advance of our arrival. We are already trying to plan a return trip!
A beautiful space to relax. Big windows onto the forest, and a super comfortable bed. Loved hearing coyotes and owls as the moon rose. Nearby Chesterfield Gorge and DAR hikes made for a great balance of recreation and rest.
What a great place! I really enjoyed my stay at the Just Be Cabin. Stacey was very welcoming when I pulled up to the house and gave me some good pointers on using the woodstove. Brian later gave me helpful directions to get to the Chesterfield Gorge State Reservation (esp. useful since I couldn't get cell service in the area). The property and part of MA that the cabin is located in are both perfect for exploring nature or, if you prefer, just relaxing in the woods at the cabin. A stop at the Old Creamery is a must for coffee, a sandwich, and some baked goods. The cabin was well-stocked with wood and water (although the pump-spigot is a little labor-intensive—I ended up using my own Poland Spring gallon jug). The earth toilet, as they say, "got the job done" in a surprisingly lo-fi and easy-to-use way. Above all, the views from the bedroom are to die for in the morning. Overall, if you're looking for a tidy, cozy, rustic, stay, I'd highly recommend a couple nights at the Just Be Cabin.
