It's late summer in the Berkshires! Crickets are chirping, ferns and fall colors are being previewed. The farm and the Berkshires are alight and alive with natural beauty. Fall camping is at it's best: crisp and invigorating.
We'll find the perfect 'dry' campsite (no hook-ups at all) for your SMALL RV (self contained van) or SMALL camper (teardrop, or pop-up tent) that will give you the royal roost of the farm. (The farm 'road' to the site is kinda rough, so an OFF ROAD vehicle with clearance is a must. See "Accommodations" information for specific size limitations.)
Grill up the fresh veggies and chops from the farm store, relax by the campfire and gaze at the Milky Way. Sleep in then wake to cook up your favorite camp pancake recipe, cowboy coffee and eggs, bacon and sausages you snagged from our larder! (Check the complete list under "Products" on our website that includes yogurt, granola and other local specialties.)

Dom was a welcoming and accommodating host. He greeted me at arrival, helped me navigate to my site, and gave me great tips for different events happening nearby during my stay.
The field I camped in was totally private, and my only company was some cows I enjoyed going to visit during morning strolls. I was towing a small pop-up behind my Outback, and having the 4WD and ground clearance made my site easy to get to. However, there is parking and you can walk to the sites if necessary.
I was lucky to be able to set up camp in a nice shady spot which made a big difference during the August heat.

Great site, great host, bad weather
The farm was a wonderfully peaceful place and Dominic is a very helpful host. We visited after a record rainy month and had a difficult time driving our Class B to the beautiful site because the full size RAM Promaster van got stuck in mud and wet grass climbing the final hill to the site. Dominic did all he could to assist and we eventually got out after the land dried out after two sunny days. The area had many nearby fantastic hiking trails and the serenity was unbeatable. We just had bad timing for our visit.

This is an excellent location if you are seeking privacy and quiet. The site is walkable to a conservation area which is full of wildlife and very enjoyable. Dominic is very accommodating and helpful. I would highly recommend this location and hope to return sometime.
Dom, the host, was fantastic and made this such a memorable trip. The farm itself is beautiful, peaceful, and a great escape from busy everyday life. I would highly recommend this to anyone and hope to return next year.

We had a WONDERFUL time at Moon in the Pond Farm! Arrival/check-in was easy. We were able to drive to the field to unload our car and then drove back out to the parking area and left it there for our stay. We actually chose this location because it showed as "dark" and "quiet" on light/sound maps and wow, we were blown away! Even though it was a full moon weekend, we saw so many stars, including shooting stars! And "quiet" is an understatement - it was completely silent while we were there. We wondered if we'd hear noise from the farm animals but we weren't disturbed at all.
Dom is very friendly and chatted with us our first morning. We had woken up early to walk around and enjoy some of the scenery of the farm and he told us a bit about the animals as he was feeding them. The other staff we interacted with during our stay (picking up food, answering questions about the farm) were also friendly, polite, and hellpful. I think it's worth noting that the staff were always around and helpful when we needed them but otherwise left us alone and we felt that we had a very private stay (which was great!).
We will definitely keep this place in mind for future camping getaways. Highly recommended!

Glorious weekend! Dom, John, and his staff welcomed us onto the property and have created an idyllic place to camp. We parked in a camper van at the top of the big field, but the other two sites allow tents. We pre-ordered food to cook directly from the farm and highly recommend the bacon, cheese and fresh produce! The field was private and we brought our own charcoal to cook on a primitive stone firepit that was already on site. We also created a wood campfire inside an old wheel rim that they provided. A trail was conveniently located right next to our site that leads to a beautiful pond nearby. On a clear night, the stargazing on the field is amazing. Lots to do in Sheffield (nearby town) as well - we hiked the Umpachene Falls trail with a swimming hole, ate at the Marketplace, and had beers at Big Elm Brewery. The perfect itinerary. Couldn't recommend this place more!
We absolutely loved everything about our stay at Moon in The Pond Farm. John, Jonathan, and Dom were all super friendly and helpful and the camp site, on the edge of a field, was a beautiful and private place to pitch our tent, cook and just chill out.
One of the highlights of our stay was cooking a delicious meal from squash, kale, onions, and sausage that was all from Moon in the Pond. In fact, I got to cut the black kale from the next field over just a few minutes before cooking it. Farm to table where the table is actually on the farm!
The location is also fantastic. We hiked in Taconic State Park in NY, canoed on Twin Lakes in CT, and cycled a loop east and South of Sheffield into CT and back.
Overall, just a fantastic trip and a great place to camp.

Camping at the farm feels very remote, which we loved. No cars, no people, perfect! So much more peaceful than a traditional campground with tents around.
We had an amazing time at the Moon in the Pond Farm, we stayed 2 nights with another family friends. The camping area is very private, like you see nothing around expect of nature, there is even a hiking trail in the forest that starts right there. The farm is great, the kids loved the animals. Dominic was very welcoming, one night there was a storm, and he very kindly came to our camp site offering us to come to his barn, we decided to stay in our tent but it was really thoughtful of him! One thing that was not clear to us when reading the description, is that from where you park your car it is maybe a 10 min walk (with kids) to the camp site, it was not an issue for us as we could borrow some wheelbarrows to bring our equipment but wanted to mention it for other campers to get ready! We will definitely come back!
