Ferns, fireflies, and fun...oh my!
This site is awesome! The hosts are very welcoming and the set up is super well thought out. It's private, shaded by plenty of trees, and has a really great outhouse. The bathroom is brand new and very comfortable. Anytime I'm out in western Mass I will definitely be staying here. There is so much to do within 30 minutes of the campsite but just hanging out around the site was also so nice.
Wow! what an amazing little hideawy
The Hart Hideaway is a very private quiet little hideaway at the top of a hill. The sunrise was amazing and lighting bugs put on quite the spectacular show at night.
The campsite fit a large 6 person tent and a smaller 1 person along with a hammock and a 2 person hammock tent. Very comfortable for 6 people. The fire ring and the rustic handmade log benches made relaxing by the fire such a pleasure. There was potable water at the campsite on a 5 foot long log shelf between two trees that made the food prep and camp organizing very easy.
The composting toilet is the nicest I’ve ever used and such a comfort for those who shy away from the traditional “hole in the ground” camping bathroom.
Overall we were very happy with the entire experience and could not have asked for anything more.
We will absolutely come back and stay again and highly recommend this site to anyone and everyone who asks!!!!!
This was an amazing spot! A beautiful campsite that was very private. The outhouse is beautifully built and in really good condition. The area is lovely. We went to cute bakeries, picked berries, and found good swimming.
Jill and Tim were fantastic hosts! This campsite was beautiful and private. We had a wonderful sky view of the pines from our tent, and saw the moon and sun rise from the top of the campsite. The outhouse was clean and easy to use. We would definitely stay again once we're back in the area and recommend this site wholeheartedly.
Great time among the pines and fern
This was my first time using HipCamp and it was a great experience. It’s a lively spot tucked away in MA. Close to lots of great hiking but still close to restaurants and shopping if that’s your interest. We rode or motorcycles and spent quiet time with nothing but the pines and the ferns. The hosts provided water and a composting toilet which was a definite plus. Great communication from the host before, during and after our visit. I highly recommend this site.
