The host provided a nice and quiet property for us to camp on. The stars were outstanding. It was just what we needed after a long day biking.

Thank you, Good.

The host was very accommodating, and responded quickly to my late afternoon request for a same-day booking. In this particular area, hotel accommodations in mid-August were running $270 a night or more and most hotels were completely booked. At $50 this was a relative bargain! I saw another reviewer complaining about the lack of bathroom/shower. While it is true that I didn’t see either of these things, I was very happy to find an affordable place to park and sleep. The property is quiet, and you can see the Milky Way late at night (not always possible in the northeast.) Thanks to the owner for sharing his land to travelers!

None of the things listed in the description were available and no one was available to meet us when we arrived. Luckily the neighbor across the street was able to show us around and help us find the field to park/camp. The listing said both a camp shower and bathrooms were available, both of which were not to be found. If any of these amenities were available no one was there to show us.
The host should list this for what it is, a field to park and camp for $50/night. Nothing more.

I’m sorry you weren’t happy with your stay. Campers normally check in during daylight hours to see sites and property you messaged me at 3:30 that you were arriving at 8 8:30 and didn’t show up until 9:45 I do not live on the premises at this time and drive up 3 1/2 hours to the property in the morning to meet you that cost me more in tolls and gas than your stay so you can see it’s not for the money I offer my space for people to enjoy nature. So when my neighbor greeted you who is my family when you showed up and was having some trouble finding the site in the dark, so then I offered my cabin with electric and wood stove to stay in for the night bc it was about to start raining and I felt bad you had to set up tents in the rain and pitch black dark. I also gave you detailed picture of overview of property and path to pull in but you never answer my message or calls so I’m not sure what else you expect of me I tried to be as helpful as possible I have camping shower toilet and privacy tent but never spoke with me to get it it’s all packed on the porch in a bin brand new in the box and I normally have full shower/bath and toilet that is in my large cabin that recently flooded so it has some mold so I was not offering in but my family member that you spoke with said you were free to use it if you weren’t concerned about the mold. This review is a big shock to me that I offered more than what you paid for by staying in my small cabin so you would be dry and warm. Everything that is said to be offered is available you said all I have to offer is a field that is only one small corner of property that you choose to stay on I’m not sure what you are saying by that it is a cleared field that grows wild blueberries and beautiful wild flowers and overlooks a beautiful pond that the sun sets over. If your looking for thick woods to hike into to camp I have that to offer too.. you choose your location and to drive into a rural area with no light pollution that is normally a plus bc you can see every star but in your case made it hard , not sure what else to say just goes to show you perspective is everything I hope your future camping is a better experience safe travels

I really got lucky to find this place to rest my bones while geocaching Vermont. The Host is dependable in communicating and delivered everything that’s promised. I would hesitate bringing your low rider as the area has some rough roads you can’t halo wanting to explore. I saw my first live porcupine and as many stars as you’d want. Prepare for an unplugged experience. I had a couple things to do for work and had to drive to make phone calls so the Verizon or ATT. Maybe the power lines overhead was a hindrance. There are nice homes and cabins nearby. Safe and serene location. Would recommend for the price.

Had a wonderful time staying at the southern campsite! It's in a mowed field and just through the woods from a beaver pond that glows golden at sunset. The hosts were really accommodating considering our last-minute booking.
