Fine location and fine beers. However, this is not a campsite for 6 adults. We had to get very creative in where we placed the tents. As described, there is no fire pit and the grill is in a spot that is not suitable to congregate around. This definitely took away from the camping experience. The “bathroom” is in the middle of the site and completely open, so anytime anyone from our group wanted to use it, the rest of us had to leave the campsite. The bathroom bag situation was loved by some in the group and others were unable to do their business because they did not fee comfortable. No table is at the site, so we were glad we brought our own folding tables. When we had questions for the hosts, it felt as though we were an inconvenience. The farm is beautiful and has a lot of potential. It seems a little bit of adjustments could go a long way.
Great spot to camp and pet friendly! Really loved that it was on a farm and their beer was delicious! Close to good hiking and swimming holes. Would definitely go back!
We had a great time at Black Rabbit Farm! The sites were big and beautiful, with tent platforms, fire pit (with a grate for cooking over) or grill, and big water containers for washing dishes, etc. It was super easy to show up and get settled. Lauren and her sweet doggies greeted us warmly, got us set up with some firewood, and we got to taste some of the farm's great beer! We spent a lot of the weekend at the swimming hole down the road, which was beautiful. A couple of things to keep in mind...we were glad to have a car with us that had 4WD because it would have been a lot of work to haul all of our stuff up the hill without it. We also brought our own folding table and benches for prepping food and eating together. It was a great weekend. We hope we'll get to come back!
When we pulled up, we saw the large red building and thought, "Oh no, this doesn't seem like a campsite at all." Little did we know, the land goes back much further than it looks. It's such a beautiful property with plenty of yard games, tables for use, and porta-potties. There are three sites all together, and each is private and feels totally secluded. I would follow the other reviewers advice and make sure that if you want to drive back to the sites that you have decent clearance as there are a few large rocks. If you don't, it's no problem, you can park in the parking lot for the night. Our hosts offered to drive our gear up to the sites in their pick up truck, but it's not too far of a walk.

Black Rabbit Farm is a beautiful spot to have a weekend excursion. The land is vast and private and Lauren couldn't be nicer. Would highly recommend a trip down to the brewery and artisanal goods store where they have many outdoor games and activities. All of the campsites were very clean and well kept and the land itself is wonderful to walk around. Highly recommend staying at Black Rabbit Farm
Quiet grove of pines with nothing but the birds and the bees for company. Just perfect.
Nice spot/grounds. Pretty secluded unless someone reserves the tentrr next to this site. A few things were not as expected. We were instructed that we'd get a vehicle to bring our stuff to the site since we didn't have a truck. No vehicle was provided. We had to lug our stuff quite a ways uphill. There was no fire pit at the site. Instead, there was a smoker. The "private outhouse" is a box with a toilet seat on it and no shelter around it. It was otherwise clean. The biggest beware here is that the ticks are really really bad. We expected some ticks, but they were literally crawling all over our tents, dog, car and selves. We ended up bringing ticks home even. The beers are pretty good though, particularly if you like sours. All in all a good getaway!

We ended up staying at a different site but the property is beautiful! I’d recommend lots of bug spray but the view is absolutely gorgeous and the site was well kept.
The property was beautiful, unfortunately the campsite was not. For some reason the host has decided to park a junk car in the campsite, I'm not really sure why, when there seems to be plenty of other places to put it on their property. It is shown in the picture on the listing, I had just assumed it belonged to the current camper when the photo was taken.
Second, the listing claims the campsite allows campfires. However there was no fire ring, just a wood grill. Anyone who ever goes camping would know that this is not the same experience. You cannot sit around a wood grill/smoker like its a campfire. And sitting around a campfire is an important part of camping in my opinion, and one that we missed out on.

Brad - Our Wild as Our Ales site is listed as having a bbq gill. We also email all of our campers before they arrive to go over the amenities of the site. We would have been happy helping you to book our other site that does have a firepit, if you had noted your strong desire for it before you arrived and we were booked. The safari mobile is a fun game space that is quiet and sheltered for a friendly game of cards or just a quiet read if there is inclement weather. Kids especially love the feature!

Sorry about the bugs, but it is the outdoors! We have always provided tiki torches with citronella oil at the site. But bug spray / tea tree oil is definitely suggested for all camping trips.
