Nice, relatively quiet site near the road. Fire pit, but recommend bringing your own grill as the attached grill is mangled and unusable. Very convenient to local stores (Buck’s), the Assateague Surf Shop, and the big water park/commercial campground. There are goats, sheep, and cows across the road, which add some local color and chatter.

The conditions were very muggy with minimal breeze when we were there at the end of August, so be prepared. Bugs were not oppressive, but the humidity sure was until the temp dropped late at night. No water and minimal accoutrements means you had better bring anything you might want.

Overall, it was a solid camp site if you are going bare bones and don’t care that you aren’t fully secluded from a quiet rural road.

Friendly owners and safe location. Even provided some split firewood for us. The closeness of the campsites to the road was concerning at first, but there was hardly any traffic on the road at all. The proximity to Assateague Island is great, especially when it’s near impossible to get a lot on the island unless you book far in advance. Ocean City is really close too.

This was a very enjoyable experience and I recommend camping here if you are looking for a few days in Ocean City or on the island on the cheap.

Perfect location for visiting Assateague National Seashore. Hosts were fantastic, very clean portajohn, and easy access to water. We will be back!

Our host was awesome. He met us right away and showed us to the back spot we reserved. He provided water and a clean porta potty and ample room for our own fire ring. Ty for your hospitality for your back lot!

Host was great! Directions were accurate. Super close to Ocean City and was an awesome weekend getaway.

This is a great campsite. My boyfriend and I stayed for a little getaway for the weekend and the host was AMAZING. He stayed at the house until we arrived even when it was later than expected. We had practically the entire backyard to ourselves and he was very social. We had late nights and he messaged to make sure we were good. The porta potty was EXTREMELY clean. There was an electric hookup, fire pit, charcoal grill, water and lights for us to use. Definitely a 10/10 experience and will definitely come here again.

This site was just like advertised, but with the added bonus of astounding hospitality. We hiked all the way from Assateague State Park to the National Park, the beach was amazing, and had a comfortable place to come back to close by. I was surprised with how friendly and how much effort the host put in to making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
