If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We arrived close to sunset and checked in with the rangers. There were signs for weekend check-ins that we followed once we got into the camp. They gave us a map and outlined the path to our campsite. The roads are very primitive, so 4 wheel drive would be helpful. We camped at Fisherman’s site. Our campground (and cabin!) was very secluded/quiet, but did have a path that lead to the beach nearby. The rangers came by that night and in the morning to check in and make sure everything was ok and we didn’t have any questions. The space was huge, plenty of room to spread out. There was also a few picnic tables and a large fire pit for us to use. We would definitely come back to this site!
My family and I enjoyed our stay. The space allowed for much needed and overdue bonding. The location was near the water and the birds singing were a wonderful background music. We enjoyed being awakened by the birds' chorus.
Perfect - can't wait to go again
What an amazing place! You can tell this is a scout camp because it is so well maintained and laid out. I had the last campsite on the 600 acre property, "Fisherman's" and it was everything I was looking for. Views of the Chesapeake, a feeling of isolation (in a good way) and easy access to the beach where I was able to launch my kayak.
