Beautiful camping area adjacent to an impressive working farm. Excellent amenities, including a nice, open-air kitchen area. Bridgette was an attentive and thoughtful host. I was very surprised to find such a great Hipcamp site so close to the D.C. area.
We absolutely loved our visit here. It was so close to DC and a perfect escape for a night. Bridgette's farm backs up to a state park so we could hop out of our tent and right onto the trails for a leisurely hike, a dip in the swimming hole, and a visit to a idyllic little waterfall. They provided everything we needed and more -- wonderful campsite, ample fire ring and firewood, fridge, sink, composting toilet (!!!), outdoor shower, pots, pans, dishes, and more. Our kiddo absolutely loved it, as did our pup. We did the farm tour with Bridgette and one of her kids and it was great to see how knowledgeable and passionate they are about their home and their work.
We definitely plan to be back and would highly recommend to others. Don't sleep on it: this is a total gem. Big thanks to Bridgette and her family for a lovely escape from the city.

We tent camped here as a family of five and our dog on Memorial day weekend. We had a great time! Bridgette was a very attentive host. We had everything we needed plus beautiful scenery and peace and quiet. There is such a comforting rhythm to being on a farm that we found good for the soul. If you enjoy the sounds of nature and a good clean hot shower and don't mind chickens then this is your spot. We loved it!
We can’t recommend Bridgette’s Hipcamp enough! Camp next to vegetable beds and a chicken run with an outstanding view of the forest. We love sunset by the fire ring and the morning sunrise over the farm. Don’t worry when you drive into the neighborhood you might feel you took a wrong turn, BUT you didn’t. There’s a hidden gem tucked away, waiting for you. Highly recommend a tour of the farm with Bridgette and a hike into Seneca State Park. We have a nine year old son who loves this spot. Highly recommend camping here with or without kids. Enjoy!
Our visit to the farm was wonderful! Bridgette and her family were more than accommodating, allowing us to throw a little birthday party at the campsite and going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They even pre-built a fire in the firepit for us so all we had to do was light the kindling.
The farm tour was also really special. The toddler in our party especially got a kick out of meeting the chickens. We even got to collect and bring home some fresh eggs and sample some lemony sorrel from the greenhouse.
We'd highly recommend a stay at the farm and would love to return someday soon!

Thanks Alicia for trusting us with your special day. We enjoyed meeting you and your friends (the furry ones, too)!
