Site 11 - Mulehalla on the Potomac River
Our family had a great time! Kevin was a fantastic host. My boys enjoyed using the park provided sports and rec equipment. The site was fairly private and afforded us pretty much everything we look for in a tent camping trip. Having access to showers was a nice touch, albeit a little chilly which was still nice after a long warm day.

I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend here. The yurt is by campsite 11- hard to find if you didn’t know that. The grounds were immaculate. Very quiet, very nice. Easy to get to c&o canal. Bathrooms clean. Very nice owner.
I found the Hipcamp app frustrating though.

Nice campground in a spacious area. Some of the sites are very close together but #6 has a decent amount of space. The numbering of the sites was a little confusing, so some signage might help. Make sure that you go to the address listed and not the GPS coordinates. Great view of the night sky and was a good place to lay my head for a night.

This site is very quiet and tucked away in a safe area with everything needed for basic camping. (Firewood for sale on site of needed). Clean and very well maintained. Mulehalla has created an excellent space.
A big downfall was 1 little above ground fire ring for 3 campsites. There are several in-ground but be prepared to share- which leads to limited privacy

Site 11 - Mulehalla on the Potomac River
Wow! We really enjoyed camping at Mulehalla. We stayed at site 11, and it was absolutely perfect!! This site was very secluded from the other sites and had plenty of room for us to set up camp! We brought our dog along and it was so nice for her to have some room to explore without bothering other campers! The site was very clean and perfectly mowed. The only con was that we wish there was more lighting around the bathroom area because it would get very dark at night but that’s no big deal! We would definitely stay at Mulehalla again if we are in the area. 10/10 recommend. 🤩

Had a great stay! We had sites 2,3,4 together with friends. Plenty of room for kids to run around. C&O canal was just down the way to enjoy. 10/10 would stay again!

Site 7 - Mulehalla on the Potomac River
The land was great and the site was adequate but the camping sites are about 20 yards apart. It feels like you are camping in a state park and that is not why I use Hipcamp. If I wanted to be right next to someone I would use the state parks and pay half the price. You can hear everyone else’s conversation clearly while you camp. If you want to sleep, good luck if you have neighbors who want to stay up late into the morning talking. To no fault of their own, our neighbors weren’t being loud on purpose or partying, you are just in earshot of everything. Other Hipcamp sites I have used always had plenty of space and far from other campers.

A great spot we will definitely return to! Quiet and well situated to the C&O canal, plus some good amenities (bathrooms, firewood). A great find for our last minute wanderlust.

Mulehalla was great. We camped there the night before heading out on a bikepacking trip on the C&O. The campsite and the campground facilities were very well kept. The host was very responsive and was gracious enough to let us park a vehicle on-site why we bikepacked. The campground was about 1/5 mile from the trail. Overall, it was a great experience--thanks!

Site 3 - Mulehalla on the Potomac River
The host met us at the gate and was very friendly and accommodating. Since the location wasn't full he gave us a choice of whatever site we liked. He stopped over and made sure we had everything very needed and gave us directions to the bike path. We very much enjoyed talking with him and would definitely stay again! Very secluded and quiet.

We made a reservation for a last minute weekend getaway. Great camp grounds, spots were large and private with a large fire ring and picnic table. A short walk to the towpath for a beautiful walk along the river. We were very grateful for the bathroom and cold water shower facilities after a lot of exploring. The proprietor came by in the evening to make sure everything was going great. Great spot only an hour or so from DC , definitely recommend! We will be back.

2nd stay at Mulehalla. Once again I was the only one staying at the camp. Super clean. Easy in and easy out. Will definitely stay again if in the area. Highly recommend staying here.

Kevin is amazing, and his campsite is awesome! I had one of the best nights camping there and would highly recommend this place for a getaway. I stayed at campsite 11

I made a last minute reservation at Mulehallas. I was not disappointed!! I was fortunate to be the only one there. The place was wicked clean. The host stopped by and was really nice. Would definitely stay here again. Provably the cleanest port a potty I have seen.

I absolutely LOVED my experience!! I celebrated my birthday at Mulehalla and David and his family were so helpful, warm and accommodating. I highly recommend!!

This campsite was amazing. Motocamped with a Harley dyna, a shadow, and a chase truck. Property was pristine. Owner was super nice. Will definitely be camping here again. Wood was reasonably priced. Lot size was more than enough.

Nice spot, with good amenities and an easy walk to the Potomac river. The camp sites are pretty close to one another though so conversations in campsite 8 were definitely audible.

Was a little worried about the dogs barking in the neighboring properties when I arrived, but after dark they went inside and I heard nothing but crickets all night. Was just what I needed after spending 10 hours driving that day.
