Not really Lisa’s fault habaneros the yellow flies were pretty bad
It was definitely a great experience. It was peaceful and private. We saw so many great animals! The bugs were horrible! Ticks and horse flies. Make sure you bring all the bug spray!!
The only problem I had with my stay at Lisa’s was the only way I could share with friends is through photos and they didn’t do it justice. The campsite is huge and secluded. Did I mention gorgeous. If you want privacy, this the place to go. You can get to the water, but not without getting muddy. If you can’t deal with bugs, I might suggest a Motel 6 and not camping. I am going back.

This has been our favorite camping spot so far and will be hard to beat. Amazing views of the refuge, wildlife and sunset over the water. Site was clean, spacious and smooth communication with the host Lisa. Nice secluded area with a little walking path that the kids liked exploring. We didn't get a chance to use the fire pit but they have a great set up with chairs and all that looks out on the water. While the location was remote it is a great base camp to explore the more remote, nature side of the eastern shore and also close enough to head into town or the historic sites and Blackwater NP. Can't recommend it enough.

This campsite is amazing! We had such a great time. So beautiful at the water’s edge. It felt peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Levin's is a true tiny paradise in the middle of Blackwater Refuge and I cannot wait to return. This campsite sites right on the edge of the marsh, which means we spent all morning and evening just looking out at the birds and changing sky. You don't often get this much privacy when car camping, but we felt totally in the wild while having the comfort and accessibility of an established site. Speaking of which, the campsite amenities are simple but add so much, from the very clean composting toilet to the large fire pit and pile of wood. I have nothing negative to say.
We loved our stay at Levin's! It was my husband, our two daughters, myself, and of course our dog. We had a very relaxing night by the fire and an even more relaxing morning watching the birds fly around and land in the calm water.
When we are back in the MD area we will definitely book another stay, perhaps longer this time!
This is an amazing property very close to the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Historical Park - yet the campsite is very private and is adjacent to the water, cattails and forest. We especially appreciated the Adirondack chairs, very large fireplace and BBQ grill. You may hear the occasional truck pass by the remote road, but other than that it's just geese, ducks, birds, and frogs. Small paths allow a bit of exploration on the property. Easy bike rides allow you to see eagle and osprey nests.

I was a little hesitant to stay here at first, since there were no reviews of this location. I am so glad I did! The camp site is secluded it’s just you and nature. There is a very large fire pit with LOTS of wood which kept us very warm the entire night. There was a grill with charcoal just in case you need it. There was a very clean recently built out house. I wish I would have brought my dog she would have loved it too. All in all I will be visiting again many times. Loved it!!!!
