The Upper Farm is set on 70 rugged acres in southern Maine. Pitch your tent under the cover of mature hardwoods alongside a babbling brook, in fields blanketed by the Milky Way, or atop the solitude of secluded ledges. Your neighbors are deer, fox, and other native animals. Boat, canoe or kayak at nearby Worthley Pond, a spring-fed mountain waterway known for its fishing. Peru provides easy access to western Maine attractions, including Rangeley, Sunday River and Kingfield, to name a few. You may choose to get your hands dirty right on the farm--pitching in with chores and animal husbandry. Take a class on fiber arts, learn how to scale and saw logs, or just relax on our secluded mountain homestead. Learn more about this land: The Upper Farm is set on 70 rugged acres in western Maine. Mountain Valley Camping Retreat
Great place to stay! We were greeted when we arrived and received a short walk around the farm to see our options for where we could pitch the tent, as well as an introduction to the alpacas and pigs. The only amenity was a small bathroom available to use, but we were set up on the other side of the farm so didn't end out utilizing it. Great spot for secluded camping, would definitely recommend.

Mountain Valley Camping Retreat
What a beautiful place! I got to camp in a very private field, far away from any structures. If it hadn't been raining, I think it would have been great for star gazing. I had a lot of fun meeting the alpacas, and the hosts were really kind and gracious. Overall, this was a great place to stop for the night. Another note: compared to finding many hipcamp sites, finding this was incredibly easy--- it's the only thing at the dead end of a road.
