To see them, view this listing from your mobile/web browser and click on “The Point” where it says United States>Maine>The Point Welcome to the farmhouse. Make your home for the night near the ocean & settle into a peaceful quiet piece of the earth. Enjoy a fire on the beach in the evening, and take in the vastness of the stars and the slowing of time.
Site is tucked in the woods overlooking Frenchman Bay at the end of a private drive with no immediate neighbors around for a quarter mile. Secluded and private from surrounding dwellings-- by day go exploring the Schoodic Pensinsula, at night hear the loons, seals in bay, treefrogs, distant coyote howls and owls hooting. During the day you are a short walk from the trails next door.

Our goal with Hipcamp is to provide a place for seekers of peace to gain a better relationship and appreciation with nature in a world that has forgotten the importance and connection we all have with the planet that sustains us.
Our top priorities with our Hip Camp is keeping this land pristine and respected. Our mission to save our environment can only be accomplished with the active mindfulness of YOU! We are here to prove that people can change and that an alternative to traditional campgrounds can be an extremely magical benefit for the people that does not degrade the environment and break the peace that small towns still contain.
Please keep your speed down while driving on our quiet neighborhood road and in our campground roads. Together we are here to be an example to others of what mindful camping can look like in this changing world.
We love welcoming ALL people to our property and are happy to answer any questions about the area prior to trip. lf you request a meet and greet upon specified arrival time, I'll try to come say HI, or invite you over to my home :)

Beautiful property, so peaceful! Glad we got a clear night with stars, the views were astounding. We had a great time checking out winter harbor but the ferry was inconsistently running, just as a heads up in case you were counting on taking it into bar harbor. Lily was a great host, we had an amazing time!
Going to be hard to beat this one!
You guys. I almost wish this hadn’t been my first Hipcamp experience because it’s going to be impossible to top!!! Lily was born to be a hostess and her love for her land and the people that come to experience it is palpable. The site was even more beautiful than in the pictures and super quiet. We were so close to everything Acadia (and I contend that the Schoodic side is waaaay better than the main park) as well as little restaurants and businesses and towns with farmer’s markets (like Winter Harbor)…. it was all exactly the Maine I was looking for. One night Lily shared some clams (harvested like, twenty yards away in the bay) and perfect greens from her gorgeous garden with me. Pretty sure I don’t need to say how magical that dinner was! I can’t recommend this site and this host highly enough. Thank you, Lily - we’ll definitely be back!!
Quiet weekend getaway
The tenting site on Lily’s property is the perfect place to get away from the business of life. The property is clean, quiet, and an overall fun experience! I would recommend to anyone and everyone!
Immerse yourself in maine’s beauty
What a lovely property, with so much to see and enjoy. You can tell Lily takes great care to ensure guests have all they need to have fun, while also taking great care of the ecosystem. I highly recommend taking advantage of the kayaks, and swimming at high tide (even if it’s raining). While out in the kayaks we had some seal and otter buddies come say hello. It was one of the coolest paddles we ever had. What a way to experience Maine for the first time! I hope our patronage helps her continue investing in the rehab of the old farmhouse. Such great potential!
I think Lily's camping site is very well named. It is exactly as she describes it. Follow a road though the woods to her farmhouse, and then go a little further. My RV campsite was a peaceful, secluded lawn in front of an unused old cottage surrounded by forest. There is a picnic table and a firering with a grate. No power, water or dump station available. There is a port-a-potty near the farmhouse. It is just a few steps to a sandy beach (very rare in Maine) on a long inlet from Frenchman's Bay, with lovely swimming when the tide is in and nice walking when the tide goes out. There are hiking trails around the point, protected by a conservation easement. There is also a designated place for a fire near the beach. Lily is a friendly, welcoming host who also respects the privacy of her guests. She provided tons of information in advance and offered helpful suggestions after arrival. She was so sweet to share fresh produce from her garden. This was my first Hipcamp experience and a most enjoyable weekend. I would say that I prefer the convenience of a campground because l like a hot shower and prefer to empty my holding tanks before heading home -- my camper isn't huge or fancy -- but this was a great alternative when all the campgrounds were full. Very few campgrounds are as beautiful as this.
