Stunning private getaway
We were looking for a quiet spot to camp after venturing through Maine, and this was perfect. The woods are pretty quiet, and the lake is stunning. Definitely would recommend for any Maine campers.
I absolutely loved my experience camping here. When we arrived, James was extremely friendly and made sure that the tiki torches were filled, garbage bins were empty and the portable bathrooms were cleaned. He also gave me a heads up that rain was coming in so I could prepare and keep all our stuff dry. The campsite was both very comfortable and peaceful. My puppy and I had wonderful time hiking trails, exploring Acadia and eating in Bar Harbor. We will definitely be back again!
Jim was an incredible host and had everything ready for us when we arrived. Directions were clear, the space was so accommodating and gave us the chance to have a very pleasant camping experience. We had a nice campfire, set up a hammock, slept restfully in the tent, and enjoyed kayaks at sunset in the lake. We were so pleased with the stay and would absolutely come back. Close by Acadia too (45-50 min drive)!!
Peaceful stay :)
Very attentive host, made sure I was all set up when I got there and made himself available in case anything happened. Took the kayak out which I definitely recommend! The lake was sooo wonderful.
