This comfy cabin is sited between a blueberry field and 75 acres of woods - all part of an organic fruit farm. There are logging trails to hike, a kayak or canoe launch at a nearby creek for two ponds to explore, and the road is often used by bikers. It is quiet with lots of nature to observe. There is a large screened in porch for eating and hanging out, an eat-in kitchen
There is a large screened in porch for eating and hanging out, an eat-in kitchen and living space with a two burner campstove as well as a wood cookstove, and a main floor bedroom. The cookstove may not provide enough heat for late fall use - hardy souls only! Sleeping arrangements include the bedroom with a full size bed, a loft with a full sized futon and twin size mattress on the floor, and the living space has a couch which can be opened to a full sized futon (watch your fingers when opening it out!). The cabin is small but pretty spacious! Mattresses will be covered with fitted sheets but during the Covid -19 times we ask you to bring your own sheets to cover, plus bedding as well as towels. We do have solar powered general lighting (so it may be intermittent) but do bring flashlights or lantern for trips to outhouse or reading at night! There's an outdoor raised firepit with seating provided, an enclosed outdoor shower with solar water bags, and an outhouse. We ask that you park your vehicle at the stone wall opening as the field is starting to be restored. We are 6 miles to supermarkets and misc. local eateries and there are lots of parks and protected areas to explore.

Spacious secluded cabin
Our experience at cabin was extremely pleasant and was better than I could have expected. The location of the cabin is spaced away enough to give you an off-the-grid like experience. The cabin itself is spacious but cozy. It gets a bit nippy at night so I would definitely recommend bringing a down comforter for the autumn. On top of it, Barb and Chris offer a canoe rental. I would definitely recommend the experience if you’re checking out the near by lakes. Also, be sure to listen to Barb and Chris’s local recommendations. I will definitely be back!
Perfect! The cabin was charming, new, clean, and well outfitted. We were a family of four and had plenty of space. The location was just secluded enough to feel cozy in the woods and neighboring field, and close to nearby towns, hikes, and lakes. We picked some blueberries, went for a dip in Peter's Pond, made S'mores, and generally got away from it all. Barbara was an amazing host!
A fun stay at the cabin!
We had a fun and a peaceful stay at the cabin. Barbara has a very welcoming and caring Host, supporting our stay with water rations in canisters and other small supports when we needed. The cabin is rustic and simple, but has everything you would want when camping. Come with some preparedness for improvisation and adventure and you’ll be off to having a great time! The location is very quiet and rural, and a great base from which to explore this beautiful area.
Wonderful site, wonderful hosts!
Barbara and Chris were fantastic hosts and their cabin was wonderful. They truly went above and beyond for us during our stay and we will be forever grateful. We highly recommend this campsite!
Peaceful stay at white duck farm
Barbara and Chris were excellent hosts and were extremely welcoming. We had everything we needed (and more). We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing semi-off-the-grid stay.
What a wonderful little cabin! My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was far enough from town but still only a 15 minute drive if we wanted to grab a bite to eat. The cabin is super clean and has all the amenities you could ever need.
Starry eyed stay
We chose a very cold weekend to visit but had a good time regardless. Very happy to stay here. Though we are looking forward to a wood stove next time... fingers crossed!
Excellent dark sky for stargazing (one of the benefits of a cold night) and nice spot for canoeing with access to walking trails etc.
Thanks for the getaway.
