This cabin is completely off grid, no electricity, running water, and no modern distractions. Perfect to take a step back from the rat race, and make time to relax and reconnect in the tranquility of the Maine woods. Located right outside the small hiker town of Monson on 18 acres surrounded by plenty of trails and beautiful mountains.

Sit by the fire at night and enjoy the non light polluted skies that show the Milky way, and millions of beautiful stars above you. Take a hike on the Appalachian Trail, venture into the 100 mile wilderness, watch the sunset and hear the loons at Lake Hebron or drive 20 minutes to the largest lake in Maine, Moosehead Lake in Greenville. Rent an ATV and enjoy the local recreational trails or take a slow drive on the dirt roads to look for moose. Great fishing opportunity’s in every direction for some beautiful native brook trout and landlocked salmon. Anything you can think of to get a bit closer to Mother Nature, it’s here for you to experience.

This 12x14 cozy little cabin is equipped with a loft that has a full size memory foam mattress (for two), and a futon couch that flattens to a bed (for 1, possibly 2 and great for your fur babies). Blankets are provided but we recommend bringing an extra sleeping bag or blankets because Maine weather can be unpredictable and chilly at night and the cabin is not insulated at this moment. 2 pillows are provided for the loft but there are none for the futon.

There is a fire pit with a grate for cooking, as well as a charcoal grill (no charcoal or lighter fluid) on top of an outdoor tabletop. We provide a 5 gallon water container that you’re welcome to fill and use. If you have things that need to stay cold during your stay there is a big cooler that holds ice 5 days. A lantern is provided and there are solar paneled lights outside of the cabin. A compost outhouse is also on the property and we stock the cabin with toilet paper and paper towels. If you need to wash up use our 5 gallon Coleman solar shower. Feel free to enjoy some of our favorite books by our very own Maine authors.

You’re welcome to use our cut firewood on the land but some of it is not seasoned so you may need to bring your own, there is plenty locally

This camp is nestled in the trees with privacy but also located right off of the main road to Monson and Greenville for easy access. The driveway does not have gravel yet so 4WD vehicles are recommended but if you have a car we can direct you to our second driveway to walk the 200 yards back to the site. 3 fit comfortable in the cabin but you’re welcome to pitch a tent for additional guests for a small fee.
