Robert and Jennifer communicated clearly and responded quickly to our questions. There was extreme fog in the area as we arrived on our bikes, and we were nervous and weren’t sure if we’d missed the site. But low and behold, they wrapped a glow-in-the-dark wire/tinsel on a tree at the site pull-in, and it saved us! Plenty of dead wood for a fire and nice stumps for sitting and cooking as another reviewer noted. Beautiful and quiet area in the wood. A great place to rest before continuing on our trip!
A really great site just a few minutes off the highway! Perfect for a stayover on a long drive - though wish I had more time to explore the area.
The site itself is more private than I had expected - yes, there are cars that pass by on the driveway, but they were few and far between, and you can park your car as a little buffer. The other Swamp Grass site is across the road and down a little bit, you can hear but not see other campers if there.
Didn’t have the opportunity to meet the hosts but they were very quick in responding to communication.
I like the personal touches to this site. Robert and Jennifer were very quick to respond to my questions. It wasn't nearly as secluded as I expected. While there's plenty of dense woods behind the site, but the site itself is visible from the small gravel road it sits on and the neighbors at the end of street kept driving back and forth which made it feel busier than I had anticipated. That being said, it was a great stopover on my road trip.
