We stayed at the Tiny Cabin for two nights and had a peaceful time. John's daughter Karen welcomed us along with a couple of wild turkeys roaming the grounds which was fun to see. She shared a lot of info about the cabin and the grounds. The inside of the cabin was very cozy especially because of the jotul fireplace included. Also included was water, a porta potty, cookware, plates/utensils, gas stove, and firewood. All we needed to do was buy a small amount of groceries from the local grocer not too far away from the cabin and our own blankets and pillows. We explored John's land one of the days using the trail map provided and ran into John on his large tractor and chatted for a bit. What a friendly family! His land is so peaceful and relaxing. We even were joined by a lovely blue heron while out exploring which was a really nice sight to see. This was our fist time "glamping" in Maine and we would definitely recommend everyone to go visit!

We loved our stay here so much! The land is gorgeous and we had a last being able to hike and fish without even driving. The cabin is adorable and super warm and cozy. Has everything you need! Hope to stay here again.

This is a magical spot for a couple or a family traveling with small children; there is electricity in the way of a 4-plug outlet. We loved our visit here!! John and Pat were extraordinary hosts and we loved getting out on the Androscoggan to see so much wildlife. This is a mostly quiet pond, and it’s shallow; not great for swimming, but ideal for exploring with a canoe that Pat and John supply and a pair of binoculars.

We had a great time! The cabin is comfortable and cozy and the view from the cabin is incredible.

The cabin has most everything you'll need for cooking - dishes, silverware, a stove, a sink, soap, paper towels, serving utensils, salt & pepper, etc. There is also one outlet that is powered from an extension cord.

John was very friendly and gave us an overview of his land and its history. We walked some of the trails on his property with a map in the cabin.

The cabin is in a large grassy area, so make sure to do regular tick checks. The trails in the woods are a bit overgrown in places, so be wary of poison ivy as well.

John and Pat’s land is remarkable. The Tiny cabin was perfect for my family, including 3 kids, who slept in the loft and in a tent we popped up outside. The view from the cabin is epic. During our stay we swam in the river, played with river clay, hiked to the duck pond, canoed, kayaked fished and relaxed. The cabin is well equipped and which allowed us to cook most of our meals (if you are looking for a nice meal out we recommend Fish Bones for dinner and Forage for breakfast). Wildlife spotted during our stay, deer, kingfishers, bald eagles.

Cannot recommend this place enough! Peaceful, well kept, all the basics. John and his family put a lot of work into caring for this land and it shows. On my arrival I was greeted by his daughter who showed me around the cabin and told me about an eagles' nest on an island in the river. I paddled out both mornings I was there and saw the eagle both times!
I was also lucky with the timing of my springtime stay as I got to use the gas fire stove to warm up in the chilly evenings and mornings but enjoyed warm weather during the day. There were other folks down at the tent sites while I was there but they were far enough away and respectful campers (not too noisy), so I still felt like I had my own little retreat.
Warning! Lots of ticks in the grasses when I was there. There was some repellant spray in the cabin, but if you're concerned dress appropriately, bring your own spray, and check yourself. Those little dudes are sneaky!
