Amazing place, superb hosts!
Stay at True Serendipity Hoeamstead was nothing short of bliss. We were able to find this place on the long weekend of the 4th of July, and I am glad we picked this place. It is located in a serene place, barely 30 min drive away from Acadia Nat'l Park. If you forget to bring anything for your trip, don't worry there is a Walmart nearby. The only damper in our trip was the unexpected rains, but we are so thankful to Mike and Cheryl who made sure our stay was comfortable. If you are lucky, you'll get to play with Zeus (their golden retriever).
The campsites are beautifully constructed around a private pond, you could simply sit by the fireplace and enjoy the night, wake up in the morning to see some ducklings swimming in the pond, and turkeys strolling around.
Do yourself a favor and go ahead with this place, I know I would surely visit this place again sometime.
True Serendipity Homestead is one of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed. Mike and Cheryl are such kind and gracious hosts, showing us around their amazing off grid farm, offering us fresh eggs from their chickens, and even bringing me some fishing gear to get a few casts in with him in the pond. I can’t wait to see all the super cool programs they’re working on, as well. What a unique and relaxing place to stay, I’ve camped in hundreds of sites over the years, and I’d really highly recommend giving this place a go if you ever find yourself nearby, you’ll be really glad you did.
Great place to stay with great host
Beautiful place to camp with great, friendly hosts who are passionate about their homestead and providing a great experience. The bathroom is very clean and potable water access is convenient. The campsite was clean and had a beautiful view of their pond. Top highlights were rowing on the pond with the provided boat and fresh eggs from their chickens in the morning.
Cute place friendly host.
Great camp site friendly host. We start here for our trip to Acadia, and while it was a bit of a drive to the park, this was much better than being packed into a park campsite or KOA. The mosquitos were a bit bad, but that's to be expected, and with good repellent we had no issues.
Best stay we’ve ever ever had
If you don’t stay here, you’re missing out. We cannot even begin to describe how beautiful it is here. It is truly a slice of heaven. Even after only a few days it was so hard to leave- we had grown to love everything about this place!
We are so thankful to have had time here! And are already talking about how to come back up and stay again! 100/10
An absolute dream to stay here!!!
Words won’t suffice. Mike and his partner are kind, generous people who have created a slice of paradise in rural Maine. Close enough to Acadia for easy access, but far enough for peace and serenity away from the crowds. Everything about this place is absolutely perfect. If the park weren’t so close, just hanging and exploring the homestead could be a vacation in itself. Will DEFINITELY be returning. Site 3 was beautiful. Thank you so much!
True Serendipity was a gorgeous place to set up camp for a few nights. Mike and Cheryl were fantastic hosts who were very accommodating with our arrival time.
There's lots to do on the homestead from fishing to exploring the trails mike has started to blaze around the property so you'll never be without something to do while you're on the homestead
