Choose from two tranquil sites spread across my homestead comprising 50+ acres of forest and open and blossoming blueberry barrens!

Catch stunning sunrises and sunsets (and moon rises if you're lucky!).  Look up on a clear (especially on new moon) night to experience your private planetarium.

Share the space with deer, turkey, fox, and an array of birds if you look out for them!

The first site is closest to (~1/8 mile behind) the family home, and features the larger firepit.  This site is great for cars (the road is a bit better), and for those looking to be a bit more nestled into the forest.  Also, if you want a more interactive experience, we are happy to join you at the fire and give local recommendations!

The second site is farther into the field (but still accessible by dirt road), offers its own small firepit, and a nice, wide parking/tenting area beside a beautiful birch tree.  The views are more open across the blueberry barrens.  Recommended for those with larger vehicles (easier parking/turning), or those looking for a more remote retreat.

-5 min from Kingdom Woods Conservation Area (800 acre area with peaceful trails and a pond)-10 minutes from Blue Hill town center, mountain (hiking!) and its Bay (swimming!)- 20-30 minutes from Holbrook Island Sanctuary, the historic Castine waterfront, or the quant finishing villages of Deer Isle and Stonington, and - 45 minutes to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park!

Discover Downeast Maine away from the crowds, at your very own quiet blueberry base!

We stayed one night in the blueberry field at Keisha’s farm and wish we could have stayed longer! We picked fresh berries (first of the season!) for our breakfast, and got stellar recommendations for local hikes and food from Keisha. Absolutely wonderful! Also, great communication and directions helped us find our way there with no problem :)

View from Blue Hill Mountain, a 1 mile hike to the summit, located about 10 minutes from the campsite.Lovely sunrise at our campVery cozy under the birch tree Fresh bluebs!

We had an absolutely wonderful time here! The view is beautiful and is very private. This was a great place to take our dogs as we had the freedom to roam the property. The sunset and sunrise are hard to beat! We will definitely come back. Lakeisha was a great host and communicated all of the necessary details about the location and what to expect. And she was more than gracious when I told her I left something behind at the campsite. We will return and are excited about staying at her other sites.

We had a great stay at backyard blueberries property! This is a great place to stay for exploring all of the coastal towns near MDI. Acadia National Park is also very close. Camping in the blueberry fields was fantastic! Our dog, Remy, had a terrific time as well. Thank you for your hospitality Lakisha, and Martin, too.
