Beautiful river site
This is a really beautiful and secluded site right on the Sunday River. We were able to carefully ford the river and climb up into a beautiful pool to swim. The space is great for feeling immersed in nature and away from other people.
Luckily, the host’s friend was finishing up the (new!) privy when we arrived and he helped us find where to set up and where to swim. He was super kind. Without him, I would’ve been very unsure if we were in the right place. The site could benefit from more signage and directional information. Also good to note that this is not a drive-up camp site. You will need to haul your things up and down a hill — so pack accordingly.
A+ camping site. beautful private a
This is a beautiful site. We were looking for something private with water access. This location delivered, very private and quiet. We found the site easy to find with the hosts additional instructions. We had surprisingly great cell service while we were there as well. One thing to note is there is a steep hill so if you are someone who packs heavy like us, just be prepared. We brought a wheelbarrow to help limit trips. There is a outhouse on site which was built well and is a bit away from the site. I assume so you dont have to smell anything. The river is absolutely gorgous lots of swimming holes to enjoy and make for a nice few days of lounging and enjoying the cool fall water.
