Enjoy southern exposures and the lovely view from the yurt on Sugar Ridge. Despite being one of the closer sites to the parking area, with only a 3/4 mile hike in, campers will still need to be ready for a steep uphill hike before they arrive. The Yurt is spacious, and great for families or friend groups. The sugar ridge yurt is available year round, but is not insulated.

The Yurt is spacious, and great for families or friend groups. The sugar ridge yurt is available year round, but is not insulated. Guests coming in the winter months should come prepared for winter camping conditions. There is a wood stove, but it never truly 'warms' the yurt during the winter months (think large tent). Book for an overnight stay or for gatherings during the day.

First family camping trip
I loved the seclusion of the South Yurt. With two young boys who are loud it was nice to know they could be Wild Things like the book and wouldn’t both anyones quiet. The South yurt had a wonderful deck for meals and the wood stove kept us warm at night. It is Rustic and next time we will pack more minimally. Drinkable Water is down the mountain but we used the bog for the outside fire. Outhouse was clean and stocked with toilette paper. Loved being able to not see anyone for hours at a time. We had a wonderful first family camping trip experience with our boys.
We loved the South Yurt, the wood stove kept us warm all night even though the temp was around 5 degrees. Love that the property is dog friendly! The Xc skiing conditions were perfect and the trails were awesome.
Remote and peaceful but a not a long ski.
No water source. Bring your own or can melt snow on the woodstove.
One bunk that sleeps two and a fold up cot. If there are more than 3 of you, someone will have to sleep on the floor. Nice big table and 4 chairs.
11/10, will definitely be back!
Sugar Hill was hard to get a full sled over but once we got there, it was definitely worth it ♡ For 3 days we had gorgeous views, a warm woodstove and plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and each other's company! Many friendly faces on trail walks and even ran into the last visitors of sugar ridge who gave us some helpful pointers! Best trip of the whole year!!
