Nice little spot, beautiful area
We booked a site here to spend the weekend in Acadia. About 80 minutes out but a beautiful drive with some great spots to hike, swim, and look at the stars on the way. Sites are a little close together but you don’t notice at night. Free, hot shower to boot. We had a tent site. It was very clean and great for a group. Owner Wolf couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. We spent most of the trip following his recommendations and found some great spots. The perfect campground to make your home base for a rural Maine excursion. 4.5 stahs, bub. I’d stay again.
We went to Maine to check out Acadia National Park. The park is an hour away but the drive was not too bad. The location of the campsite is beautiful you get to drive through deer island which I would recommend to stop by town to check out the sand beach and get ice cream At Stonington Ice Cream Company. When leaving the island you’ll pass by LDI Lobster where you can get a lobster roll by the water.
The campsite is clean and you can tell Wolf takes care of it. Also he is super nice and made us feel welcomed. This tent is big we booked it for two and felt that it was huge BUT it was perfect for rainy nights where we kept everything inside. There is also wood you can purchase at the site. Overall, we would stay again! Don’t let the distance from the park change your mind
Nothing like a secluded get away in one of the most beautiful places on earth. The campsite was everything we hoped it would be and was a great place to come back to after a long day exploring the beauty of Maine. Wolf was a welcoming and resourceful host. We are coming back year after year, we fell in love with this place.
The tent is a great size, and the water and electric next to the tent were great. There is no accessible wifi. So I you need this to work, it is not available for that. There was rain and the tent leaked a little and we had a rowdy neighbor who's site was very loud for all three nights till well past 12:00am.
