We loved this campsite and can't wait to go back sometime! The views were beautiful, the bed and bedding was comfortable, the tent was clean. It was lovely! I did see another review about a French press which was not there. The kitchen was minimal but it was lovely. I wish we had taken some tongs, but otherwise we felt well prepared and comfortable! The kids had a blast too. Lots of room on the floor of the tent for a few kiddos next to the bed - just bring a mat!

What a magical, beautiful spot! The beach was easy to access and totally private and secluded. We saw deer, seals, and many birds. The water was chilly, but great for paddleboarding and crystal clear down to the bottom. The tent was spacious and comfortable.

This is not a criticism but more a helpful hint so future campers can be more prepared than we were. The previous reviews made it sound like there was a better-equipped kitchen than what there was - here is what we found at the site:

1. a round grill to put on rocks over the fire,
2. a big cast-iron frying pan,
3. a kettle,
4. one spatula, and
5. two coffee cups.

We made do with aluminum foil and paper towels the first night, and bought paper plates and disposable cutlery for the second. But had we known, we would have brought our camp cooking box to avoid using disposables. If you want to boil water or do more involved cooking, you might bring a pot instead of using the provided kettle because it's a stovetop kettle rather than a campfire kettle (we felt bad getting it all sooty). Or bring a little propane camp stove to heat water.

Overall, we loved our time here and wanted to stay forever! The sunsets were spectacular with the most beautiful light sparkling on the water and through the trees, and our little one spent hours exploring the rocky beach. Shangri-la!

5 stars. Large campsite with a great fire pit, outdoor kitchen and private salt marsh overlooking the ocean.

Close to Bass Harbor (10 minutes), Acadia Mountain (10-15 min), Bar Harbor / Cadillac Mountain (30 min). Altho, it was often times a fight to leave the campsite b/c of how awesome it was.

Beach, woods, quiet, amazing sunset, and 10 minutes from authentic Maine seafood…fantastic. Thanks Brendan for your warm hospitality!

This was such a peaceful camping site. The only sound was almost exclusively that of nature. We enjoyed hearing the soothing sounds of the water from the fire pit and tent. The little kitchen area was quite handy—especially the counter space that made meal preparation easy. The tent was clean and comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Quiet and secluded. The view is spectacular to your own private rocky beach. The tent is comfortable enough for 4 people. Plenty of wood for a fire all around the camp site. I highly recommend this place.

Awesome campsite! We loved the seclusion but also proximity to everything on Mount Desert Island. We were able to explore Acadia, Bar Harbor and Bass Harbor. The view from the site is incredible! Highly recommend for camping lovers and we loved that it’s pet friendly. Wonderful experience!

Driftwoods Seaside Tents is a wonderful spot. It is exactly as described. Tics are an issue, so be vigilant. The view is truly amazing for camping on Mt Desert. There is plenty of places to get wood and supplies as well. Branden had a very comfortable tent and bed. We had no less than 5 run in's with deer. We saw Loons swim past, and also saw fiddlehead ferns adjacent to camp. It is a fantastic find for those that are looking for a camping experience. I would absolutely book again.
