Another great time! Weather was perfect and the land is so peaceful. Looking up at the night sky is my favorite. The view of the stars is amazing! My daughter and I took a craft class and we made jewlery. This was my daughters first time making earrings and Colette was so patient.

Colette was such a delight! A beautiful location with a rich history. Colette has big plans for this property and I can’t wait to return again to see the progress! The site was affordable, private, and had plenty of unique charming elements.

I was thinking of what to write about staying on Colette's land trying to sound nice but the word and feeling that keeps coming to mind is "Goodness". Everything about the area and the host were amazing! We had a last-minute change of plans and needed to change sites. She was very accommodating with no hesitation. The camp has a stretch of trails throughout and various places to set up a tent. You can choose to be deep in the beautiful woods or a bit closer to the lodge where there is a bit more clearing. Some of the best moments were when night fall came. It was quiet except for the coyote howls and owls. One of our nights we even heard a pack with pups run through the land. It was awesome! Looking up at the sky that is so clear and seeing the Milky Way among the vast array of bright stars brought such a sense of peace. This was the perfect reset I needed. There is a lake a few minutes down the road to enjoy and 20 minutes driving in either direction are small towns to explore with shops and restaurants. I added on an art workshop to our trip. The host has a master's in art and made our class so fun! I made a "beautiful mess" that has multi-purposes. If you are looking for a simple and serene time with nature this is the perfect place. Colette is so attentive and just a good soul. I am already booking another trip for next month. It is so worth the drive!
